Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Co.: "Corned Beef special"
Nov 5, 2010

Food was just ok. We really wanted a corn beef special when we heard they had a deli. We waited in line for maybe 30 mins after placing our order. I ordered and was charged for extra dressing, but sandwich was very dry. Not what we think of when a corned beef special comes to mind.

Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Co.: "Great Breakfast Sandwich"
Jul 10, 2010
: restaurant customer

We ate breakfast sandwiches from this place and they were yummy. The best part is taking the sandwich out to the boardwalk to enjoy the ocean waves and beach smells. We had to wait for them to start serving breakfast so that was a bit weird. The Canal had a good menu and for those who like muffins and that kind of food, it was readily available. It was breakfast and yes I know we were on a romantic get away but we didn't look at the wine list.

Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Co.: "Good Size Sandwiches"
Oct 3, 2009

We ate at this place because the other restaurant were priced too high. They had a decent variety of sandwiches and soups. I feel they should change some of their soups on a daily basis. They also need to work on getting customers through the line faster. The sandwich was good and they did not skimp on the meat.

Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Co.: "A lot of food for the price"
Sep 22, 2009
: restaurant customer

We were hungry late at night and went to the Canal Street Co. My husband got a sandwich(can't remember which one) and it was stacked. I got the pizza which was huge, it could have fed three people. We also got soup which was hot and fresh. A great little snack place when you get the munchies.

Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Co.: "Ok Sandwiches"

The menu is kind of limited and the price is OK. Nothing really fancy, but you can go down and expect an environment where you feel like you're not at a casino, which can be a nice break for a half an hour. Service was very friendly, food was OK.

Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Co.: "If you like it old and soggy"
Nov 11, 2008
: restaurant customer Ask me a question

The food I got was already made. The fresh fruit cup was anything but fresh, it was old, soggy, mushy, and mostly non edible. The New York "Style" pickle must have come from New Jersey because it was the size of a gerkin and it tasted like rubbing alcohol. The prices were ridiculous, but obviously what the market would bear as nothing else nearby was open at that time of night. Bad experience. The next night I took my chances at McDonalds.

Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Co.: "Best Sandwich On The Planet!!!"
Aug 21, 2008
: Allyson Balliet

Restaurant is great, staff can be a little crabby at times. They serve the best Italian Hoagie in the world! Restaurant offers hot and cold sandwiches, pizza, subs, salads, soup, desserts, fresh fruit, coffee and more! Very tasty food. A little on the pricey side, but still reasonable for the flavor you get. Restaurant very clean with nice decor. Highly recommended to all! You won't regret your experience here. Great for food on the go, located right next to bus terminal.
