I was struck by how different the casinos are in NJ from the ones in Vegas. I found the dealers to be fairly unfriendly and the clientele to be curiously serious about their gambling. The casinos are seriously lacking in the "fun" factor. The hotel was nice, and if I went back to AC I would probably choose a Trump hotel, but if you have a choice, go to Vegas. Oh, the pool is indoors, so it is a good choice during the winter months if you have kids who want to go to the pool. It gets mighty loud though.

The employees at the check-in were absolutely horrendous! We tried to check in around 2:30 and rooms weren't ready, which I could understand with the busy wrestling weekend. Went back at around 4:15 only to stand in a huge line for 45 minutes. When I got to the desk the staff was anything but friendly and were moving slower than sloths. She proceeded to tell me that our room was still not ready and the maid would be another half an hour. I demanded my keys and went to my room and waited for the maid to be done. Room also smelled like vomit. Not a good experience and would not go back. I've stayed at several hotels in A.C. and this would certain rank in the bottom two.

I wasn't really impressed with this hotel. The person at the front desk was nice. The room was ok, but the a/c could of been better. There were no plastic bags in the garbage cans and in the ice bucket. The vending machine on our floor was out of service. The internet service wasn't that good. Last, but not least, no iron in the room. You had to call if you needed an iron. I thought Trump could afford iron in the rooms. This was my first time at this hotel, but not in Atlantic City.

Our room especially windows were dirty, had to call twice for an iron and ironing board, advertised room service till 2am, called at 930 pm and was told it was closed. Staff was very friendly, breakfast is our room was very nice but and the waiter who brought it was a true gentleman. Unfortunately its the little things that can leave a bad impression on someone and that exactly what happened here. Room was in need of a makeover, will stay elsewhere next time.

Check in was long,it took 45 minutes,because of the long line,and there were only 3 desk clerks; then the clerk couldn't find our reservation,and then she sent us to the wrong room,were we nearly walked in on another couple; it sounds crazy,but i expected this much to happen because crazy is relative to me! We got the room 4 an incredible rate tho: $50! all in all,it was okay for one nite ; I do want to try Ballys tho next time!

Trump Plaza is centrally located on the Boardwalk and everything is accessible within walking distance. The rooms are nice except we had some noisy neighbors who were up until 5:30am. We had to call security and they responded in 5 minutes to rectify the situation. Nice ocean view rooms upon request and the Caesar's Ocean Pier Shops are right across the boardwalk with some nice restaurants and shops. All in all a nice place to stay. We had a blast !!!

Bathroom need to be updated (looks and sounds OLD)-faucets make noise when you turn on, shower head points in one direction diagonally towards the wall. Nice size room with view but way TOO HOT! Tried to keep temp at 65 degrees and was still breaking out into a sweat. Non-smoking floor had faint smell of cigarettes in corridor. Very confusing lay out of lobby and casino. You can walk around in circles without making any progress of getting where you'd like to be going.

I expected more from the hotel, and was disappointed overall. The service was so-so, the rooms looked outdated, the internet in the business center was $0.35/minute. The room size was nice, the bed was comfortable and we had a partial ocean view. Those were the positives. We stayed for 2 nights and housecleaning never came to make the bed. My husband didn't like the shower/shower head at all. Again, the room, including the bathroom just felt outdated. It certainly should not be categorized as a 4-star place. I would have given it maybe 2-1/2 stars at best.

I had originally booked a smoking room which was not available when i arrived. The front desk asked for me to come down the next day at about 12 to see if there was anything available,and so we did only to find out that the smoking rooms had dirty walls and the bed were mad very sloppy,check out was 12 and room service knock on our door about 3 times before 12.I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN

The hotel itself was nice but they need to check each room to make sure everything is working properly. Some things were falling apart and there was a heavy draft from the window. They might want to think about investing in some microwaves for the rooms or at least a general one on each floor. There was a out-dated video game system in the room which they wanted us to pay to use it. Who plays Nintendo GameCube anyway.

We could not get a good nights rest, one morning the maids were pounding away in room 1485, and the next night we had to call security on 1483 at 1:49 AM, cause they were super loud. The walls are super thin.The service in Central 24 was great and the food. The service is Rainforest was great after the manager intervene. The casino waitresses were not friendly and had to go get our drinks, cause after several attempts with them, we we never served once by them. We were there from Friday evening till one on Monday.

The front desk had no maps of the Alantic City area. Guest services was never there to assist. The front desk had no advice or brochures for current night life or shows. Glaze on tub was worn away. The hotel info channel was not working.

I did however get plenty of conierge assistance at Bally's and The Tropicana. Great people!

Bell and valet services were both very good. Very friendly and helpful during check in and check out.

Great location for sure.

Just in case I do not get a restaurant plug: one place for 3$ drafts or 5$ 40s like other places would have kept my family and I in your casino/hotel more often.

Room was dirty - Hotel staff ( front desk) was not very friendly. Location of hotel was the best feature. The area resturants were ok but could be better. If I go again , I would certainly pick another hotel to stay at. For the cost of these rooms, We could have traveled to Las Vegas. The commute into Atlantic City was not bad. Traffic congestion was OK. The Boardwalk was nice - due to the time of year they were not over crowded. That was nice

Trump Plaza promises luxury and glamor, and charges for it. They deliver a reasonable accommodation with some nice touches and some drawbacks, which is my experience generally with the boardwalk casino hotels.

I stayed in the east tower, in a room facing the ocean. The floor-to-ceiling window provided an awesome ocean view, if compromised by the dead moth on the outside of the window and by the all-night mega sign from the Caesar's shopping pier roof blasting light into my room. Drawn curtains solved the light problem, but couldn't fix the thin-wall problem that kept me awake most of the night when I had loud neighbors.

The furniture was solid and substantial (hence my heavy lamps title), but stylishly unremarkable. Towels were lush, but the bathtub was narrow and I had to keep the shower curtain outside the tub to keep from getting wrapped up in it. Room service and hotel restaurants provided mediocre to good food.

When I was there in late September 2009, the Trump hotel and casino crowd were mostly retired folks from surrounding states and tourists from Asia. The casino was unremarkable. Directional signage was poor. Staff was pleasant and usually tried to be helpful, though they couldn't give directions to save their lives. Once I was lost in the middle of the casino, and I asked a floor manager how to get to one of their restaurants. She responded, "Oh, you have to go to the front!" and then promptly walked away.

The Trump Plaza is at a good location if you want to be near the Convention Hall, the shopping mall pier, and the Tropicana and Caesar's casinos. There's a more pre-gambling era feel to the boardwalk up north past Bally's--if you prefer that neighborhood, stay at one of the casino hotels or off-boardwalk places north of Bally's.

The Trump Plaza is very slow in getting people into their rooms. Checkout is noon, but they do not clean the rooms fast enough on weekends to get the new guests checked in. The check-in time is only guaranteed by 6pm. This is very inconvenient and ruins the first day stay. This was not told to me by Atlantic City dot Com when I made my reservation. I waited 4 hours to get into my room. The front desk tried to expedite, but it made no difference. They are probably understaffed.
