Overall it was a very nice experience. We did not like the room that much, however I stayed in the Havana Tower which had a great view. The dining area was wonderful, We dined at Carmine's which was great the food was amazing. We partied at Providence which was soooooo much fun, it is a very nice nightclub. The shopping area is located right in the Lobby which is a good thing. The Casinos are very nice. I had an Amazing time.

I have stayed at the Tropicana before and found it to be an enjoyable experience. But this stay was different. The hotel seemed overcrowded and the elevators were not working properly. It took ten to fifteen minutes to get to the casino level every time we needed to take an elevator. By the time we left, they had assigned an employee to manually override the elevator and act as an elevator operator. However, the casino is very nice, there were plenty of gaming tables open, making it easy to get into blackjack and craps. Also, the hotel's amenities and shopping are nice. In short the hotel is a nice place to make a stop, but I don't know that I would stay here again.

Paid to stay in Havanna tower- more money and it was a typical room with king bed- would have been nice to have bigger tub or shower separate.
even though it was smoking would have been nice to have a fan in the rest room.Needs a little updating as far as bed spreads and curtains.I really did enjoy that you couldn't hear the people around you.Nice to get request honored for a view of ocean and the city.

We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend and it wasn't terrible, but after visiting several other casinos I defiantly wouldn't go back. The smoking/non-smoking arrangement was not effective and I always felt like I was in the smoking section; several of the restaurants and clubs were closed and there were no clear hours of operation posted on a few; the game tables were too close together and based on the number of people on the floor there were not enough open(in fact we didn't get the chance to play there at all and ended up spending most of our time at Caesers). I would have been mildly satisfied if I wouldn't have left the building, but I did and realized was the others had to offer.

We had a few problems from the start. We had reservations for 2 adjoining rooms. When we got there, that was a problem. After finally checking in, my daughter knelt on the floor to put her clothes in the dresser & got her new "very expensive " jeans full of some type of cleaner. She was really upset. We tried to call the front desk, but neither phone worked. While we continued to unpack, we also found that our safe did not work & the one remote needed batteries. Finally , I heard housekeeping outside our door. When I opened the door , however, the woman was telling off her co-worker. She was screaming at him, and my looking at her & waiting for her help didn't matter. She kept screaming about ..."When I ask if there are towels , I don't need to know if they are in the closet, I need them here in my cart" This went on & On , till finally a supervisor showed up & told her to stop . She however kept it up & was told again to stop it now !!! Then the supervisor put her focus on me & asked what help I needed. I asked first about the wet areas on the carpet, and explained the other issues. The housekeeping came in stomped on a towel to get up some of the liquid & left. She never did return. I guess we were cleaning up after her. So, when we went for supper, I reported the issues at the front desk, since we still could not call out. The morning we were checking out, we were woken up about 8AM, by more yelling & laughing in the hallway that went on 45 minutes to an hour. It woke all of us , in both rooms. We were really mad. I work in a very stressful environment , and was trying to have a few relaxing days away from yelling. I finally got up, went ot the door, opened it & slammed it ...to let them know we were still trying to sleep. The remark made was " If they don't like it , let them leave". So, again, since our phones were still not working...I stopped at the desk. I was really upset this time. They said , if we are willing to return , they will pamper us. They said they couldn't comp the room, since it was charged already. I really doubt that. They did remove the charge we had on our room bill. I think we deserve a Free getaway and meals, as a way to try to make up for such poor hospitality & rudeness on the part of the staff.

I would stay at Tropicana again. The casino was very nice, with a variety of games to play. I would suggest some more room between the poker tables. When people were walking between the tables I kept getting bumped. The new roulette slot machines were a lot of fun. All of the restaurants that we attended had excellent food, i.e. Ri Ra, the Irish pub, and the sports bar. The rooms were okay, but only slept there. The West Tower is due for a renovation.

I like the atmosphere at the Tropicana, but the cleanliness of the rooms have been declining. Also we left at 3:30 in the morning because the noise in the adjacent rooms were unbearable. People were slamming the doors all night, and there was either a loud party or fighting next door. It was our 24th anniversary, and the hotel was very disappointing. I usually don't complain, but I think in the future I will go to a different hotel. Thank You Gina McEntee

We stayed at the Tropicana on a Saturday night.
Had a great time; however check out was L O N G !!
It took us around 1/2 hour to wait for an elevator to leave.
This was because everyone was leaving at once... very frustrating and dangerous. The rooms were ok, but you cant open the window for fresh air, this was disappointing.
It was loud, even at 5am. people were partying and drinking all night making noise! We had to call security so we could sleep. silly...

I'm from NJ and I visit Atlantic City often. If you are a gambler of course this place is awesome, but it's also awesome for those who don't like to gamble. There are so many things to do it seems there is never enough time. You can visit each casino, gamble, eat at the many different restaurants, or you could grab a slice of Atlantic City pizza on the boardwalk. There are plenty of places to shop within the casinos or if you'd like you can check out the outlets within walking distance of the casinos. I love Atlantic City and always go back for more.

Room only partially made up when we checked in, and that was late afternoon, so no excuse.
No information at all in the room about hotel services, restaurants, facilities, and front desk said "they are working on it". Never seen a hotel without info in the room.
Room layout was pleasant, view good.
Restaurant (Carmine's) in the Quarter was very good. Although very busy, we were seated quickly. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and portion sizes (huge). He seemed to know better that we did about how much to order, and he was right. Bus help was good, in that they had the earlier course leftovers packed up for us even before the remaining courses arrived.
Shopping is good in the Quarter. The Zeytinia Gourmet Food Shop has a wide and wild variety, but watch out for the prices.
Took about 25 minutes for the valet to retrieve our vehicle, but it was a busy checkout time, and in their defense, they helped load up the truck.

My husband and I needed a night out we both are very busy with our jobs. We had a great time the shopping was wonderful as well as the dining. We were not all that impressed with the room a little dungy no coffee pot no cups and no garbage cans. The price was reasonable. We have recently received a comp room as well as some great offers in the casino, we will be back and hopefully we will have a better room Thank You

The hotel was adequate, but the elevator was very very slow, which resulted in lines of drunk people waiting to get on. The room was old and outdated for the price. The windows were dirty and the pillows hard as a rock and only three for a king sized bed. The bathroom was handicapped access, which was not what I requested. This hotel is overpriced for the experience it offers, though we enjoyed the access to the boardwalk and other casinos.

The hotel does NOT offer a room safe. I like the room Jacuzzi however the tub did not hold water but didn't drain well (figure that one out) and was dirty. When we checked in we were given expired coupons and no information on any shows in the area. IMAX theatre was GREAT!!! After going to all the casinos The Tropicana had the better poker tables... The beds were very soft and comfortable just like home, no problems sleeping.

Room was not as clean as I would like, dust on all lamps, hair on shower wall but it was fixed once it was brought to house keeping's attention. Everything is there in hotel--casino, entertainment, dining, but be advised...food is expensive. The casino is fun & clean. All the staff was very helpful & answered all our questions as to sights to see & where to go. It was a nice low stress week in AC with nothing to do but have fun. Yes I would stay here again...they take care of their guests!!
