The restaurants were all great. My husband loved the casino and spent all of his time there. The rooms were just average and we were overlooking all of the a/c units. I loved the location because my entire family like walking the boardwalk. Everything was great except I was very disappointed in the room and the bathroom. Did not like the fact that we had to wait until 3 to check in. The lines were long and out to the front door. Don't see why they could not check the people in before 3, once the rooms were available. We nevertheless had a great time.

the new trop is really nice and has alot to do and see for an overnight stay. i am single and my boyfriend and i have stayed before and enjoyed the bars and restaurants. also the surrounding area is nice to visit also. i really like the wine shop to grab a bottle and relax in the room. i am looking forward to staying at the trop again in the near future. i especially like the spa for massages and makeup. love the snow at the holidays in the walkway too. please send me a special rate to visit again.

we had a very nice stay. the casino was nice but the tables were all expensive. There should be more $5 tables on the weekend. Our room was very nice. It could have been a little bigger for the price. We would definately stay there again. The service was wonderful!

I think overall it was a good hotel. The service was good, and personally, I love the Tropicana. It has great bars, restaurants and places to shop. I think some of the rooms could have a better view of the ocean. Our hotel room was very clean. I was very impressed with the service at the front of the hotel, along with the service throughout the entire casino. The reason I stayed at this hotel last year was that my friends and I were in town for the New Jersey Education Association teacher's convention. I was impressed how the hotels offered shuttle buses to and from the convention center. My friends and I plan on returning every year to the Tropicana to spend our teacher convention weekend! Another great thing about the hotel is how close it is to the outlets. It is very easy to take a car or the Jitney over to outlets and spend a day shopping. Also, the parking is a reasonable fare, only five dollars when you have your Tropicana member card! Very affordable!! I do not think this is a good place for families to go when they have young children, the only reason being is that young children are not permitted to enter the casino floor. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

The hotel has great values, clean casino and clean rooms. It is a good place for singles, and families with or without children. The inside has a great shopping mall that has many shops for patrons that have expensive taste but it also has shops for the average person on a vacation budget. The staff was extremely helpful and respectful and check in and check out was a pleasant experience. the parking was fair. The Tropicana could use a breakfast buffet like some of the other hotels. They do have some nice shows and entertainment. The Tropicana is an older hotel that could use some renevations, but overall it is nice, clean and it a great location on the board walk. The best time to visit Atlantic City is October, warm days to use the beach and cool nights to walk on the board walk. I mostly enjoyed the inside mall and convient restaruants. They could use a few more coffee shops like starbucks or an all night cafe. This has been my 4th or 5th visit to the Tropicana. I guess I could be considered a regular customer as I prefer to stay there rather than any other place. They have sent me offers that I take advantage of. I am not a big gambler but enjoy spending my money more in the shops and restaurants.

It was given to me and my husband as a birthday gify, and we were both very pleased with everything and the casino in general. I would defenitelty recommend it to others as well. I would like to make it an all weekend event our next time there. I would also like more varierty of different shows we may be able to catch while there. It was a nice atmosphere, very friendly, clean and both the trip. We were only there one day but enjoyed it, the gambling and dining also. Would defeniately recommend it to my friends and family too.

The best part about this hotel was the Quarter with all the nightclubs, restaurants and shops. I traveled there for a friend's 25th birthday and it was wonderful! There was a large group of us, and we all thought that this hotel/casino was by far the best we've experienced yet!There is plenty for everyone to do there, whether they gamble or party, or just like to sit in the hotel room after a nice day on the beach or at the pool. The restaurant selection is great, and it made it hard to pick which one to patronize!

Had a good time. But you don't get enough comps at this Casino. very good entertainment. Nice food. Locations is good and room was nice but the spa didn't work in the room. Room had a very nice view. Would look for better deals on free rooms and comps for the week. Have not gotten any follow up offers from this casino. Can you be offered upgrades on the internet. This is the first communication i have gotten about my stay at the tropicana. While when i signed up at the showboat i have gotten two free room offers and a number of discounts.
So i hope that this survey will put me on the list for upgrades to the Tropicana.
I'm going down to atlantic city in Oct but I am staying at the showboat for two days free. which it where the Tropicana. So get me some of those Tropicana comps and I will stay there on my next trip. Oh by the way this is the word I got when i tell people to stay ant the Trop. I'm told you can get a better deal else where. But the trop is a very nice place to stay.

Rooms need updating. There was only one garbage can in the room in the bathroom. The hair dryer in the bathroom did not work. There is no place to hang a towel that you can reach when you get out of the shower. Elevators were dirty. I just think over all, updating needs to be done.
There are a variety of very nice shops to go into.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Takes a long time though once you order a drink for the waitress to come back with it.

The location was the best feature of this resort. Located in the middle of the boardwalk - on the beach - and easy to get to everything on the boardwalk. It wasn't the cleanest , the staff wasn't very attentive, and the room was a little shabby. But, the view was beautiful, Carmine's was a great restaurant, and the Casino was fun. My biggest gripe was the smell of smoke everywhere. That being said, we loved walking along the boardwalk, and the room was bright and sunny. The housekeeping staff keep the room as clean as possible, considering the age.

The hotel is nice and has a lot to offer with the shops and stores , but the room was real dirty and the west tower hallway smelled like cat piss. The elevators to the west towers were dirty and had trays of food sitting in them over night, there was room service food sitting in the hallway from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. Maybe that's why the place smells so bad. The hotel need a good cleaning.

Just some impression:
- Long latency for "Check in" AND "Check out" (there were just 2 receptionists)
- The woman at the front desk seemed to be bugged/ in a hurry. There was no smile, no "Have a nice stay". She answered my questions but was very short with me.
- The room was cursory cleaned (but fungi in the bathroom, dust in every corner, holes in bed linen)
- The parking staff was really rude (I ask myself why I tip them)
- Whereas the staff of the security agency was very polite and friendly

Check-in was cumbersome at best. Long line and no place for others to sit and wait. We had to either drag our bags a mile through the casino and back or make another trip back up to the parking garage to retrieve them.
After two days of gambling we were still charged for parking. There was a charge to use the indoor pool. We felt like we were nicked by over and over again by little stuff. Gambling just isn't like it used to be.

The hotel has potential but the economy hit was obvious in the accommodations as well as the quality of the staff.
Not the fault of the hotel, but it didn't help that there were 3 rooms of young adult guys filling the hallways with their pot smoke and at night and making their obnoxiously loud presence known at 6am the next morning. On a positive note, the deals offered for the proximity to the concert facilities were fantastic for the area.

The rooms were a huge disappointment. Carpet had stains and a rug burn from an iron. Wall paper was peeling off in spots. Hallways and elevator areas appeared also in need of upgrades and redecorating. Smoking floor and rooms reeked of smoke smell. Trash receptacles near elevators appeared rusted and dirty. The casino area was satisfactory and staff appeared helpful and cooperative. We went on a Monday and Tuesday and our social activities and restaurants were limited. We did see the comedy show. Two of the three were just fair.
