I would not recommend this hotel/casino to anyone. All you got done was walk. The rooms were so far away far away from casino. We had to go from our section of rooms through the casino to the other section to get to pool. Terrible!
Then the pool closed at 7:45 p.m. We had about 20 minutes. The pool was nothing to brag about
either. In my opinion dirty. The walking to get to everything just seemed that was all we got done. Would not stay at Tropicana again.

Had to come back 3 times because room was not ready. Handicap room had a beautiful tub but unable to use too difficult to get in. Shower head did not fit back on stand, tub plug did not work, tv remote needs to be replaced, buttons on phone did not work. Starbucks would not accept my card, I checked to see if I could get a coffee and they said I had $8.00 credit and I said I would come back. But they said I used it already. I would never come back with my mom too hard with a wheelchair. Myself, this would be okay.Parking was more than I expected. The info from the booking place was outdated. Had many frustrations but I did have a good time.

I found the personnel at the hotel to be rude and not very friendly (from the people at the front desk, bell boy and valet attendant). The elevators were not working most of the time, with usually 20 or so people waiting in line to get on. I had to wait 25 minutes for one. I wouldn’t mind taking the stairs, but the one time I did there was feces in the stair well and it smelt of urine and vomit. The slots were overpriced compared to other hotels. The floors of the hotel were dirty; people didn't bring drinks while playing any games. Even though the valets were not busy I had to wait 45 minutes to get my car which defeated the purpose of waking up early to avoid the rush. The walls were paper thin and my friends and I were woken up multiple times at 5 am.

When we checked in the person behind the desk was very miserable and unprofessional and took a long time to book us in, even though we had a print out of our confirmation. She took our credit card and recorded the number, and two days later when we called to the front desk for information they stated that they did not have a credit card number for us. Our room was very dirty and dated. The only good thing was the price and the location.

The service was not accommodating, managers were not understanding of the families need. We needed adjoining rooms and they were in fact rude. The rooms were not properly cleaned, there were popcorn on the floor when we didn't have any popcorn. There were burn marks on the bed cover and on the carpet. They didn't replenish our coffee supply, had to call and ask for it. There were problems with the elevators, waited 1/2 hour to go down from the 46th floor then I asked to use the service elevator. Try waiting for an elevator with a toddler! The elevators were dirty on the inside and outside. Tropicana needs much tlc and managers an attitude adjustment.

They gave me the wrong room, we had to walk two times to our room,it was a very long way.

As I said when I booked the room we needed to be near the elevator, because my Wife is handi capped they wanted to charge me more for the room, I said no way after asking for the manager they gave me the room for the original cost.

No coffee pot in room.

Very poor signs to let you know were you are.

The check in is way to far from the parking area.
This hotel is not people freindley

We had to wait in a separate line for everything,check in, get a key,and luggage line. We also carried our luggage through the casino to the west tower because we probable wouldn't got our luggage till midnite. Then we had to wait in line to get on an elevator to get to our room.Only 2 out of 4 elevators were working. It took about 3 and a hours to get our room and that was with reservations.

The Tropicana hotel had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When I checked in I went upstairs to my room which was not cleaned and looked like a disaster area! Two pizza boxes were lying on the bed, empty soda bottles were left on the dresser, dirty towels on the bathroom floor, and a questionable stain on a chair. It took 30 minutes for a maid to come upstairs and attempt to clean it, and when I called the front desk they didn't even care. It took another 35 minutes to get moved to another room which was dirty also. Their were food stains on the bed skirt and the carpet had not been vacuumed either. When I called the front desk again I was bounced around from person to person and never spoke to a manager. After an hour the housekeeping manager finally came upstairs and offered me a VIP room for the same rate. Worst experience of my life! Definitely not worth the time or effort!

First, I book my stay on line, when I got to the hotel I check in. Walk alot to the room that was given to me and when I got to the room it was occupied by someone else. Went back to front desk and the Rep was not pleasant and that there was no rooms available. Until he finally got me a room. Plus I request a double bed with no smoking room and 1st was given a smoking room.

I was not able to take my bags to the room with a cart. The hotel policy is, "the cart belongs to the bell men." Without knowing distance to the room from where I would park, I was forced to use bell service. It took 2 hours for us to receive our luggage to our room. I repeatedly called bell service to ask whereabouts of my luggage and I was told that the bell man left with the bags and they did not know where they were. We were stuck in our rooms for this entire time because everything was with the bell man. You can guess whether I used the bell service when I left, or if I carried every piece of luggage to the car. Also the room was old, didn't have a safe or coffee maker, and was small. How can you not have a safe in a casino room?

Nice casino, nice shopping and restaurants, but the room and the bell service will keep me away from this place.

The west tower is really bad, I booked the room through Atlantic City.com site, and I still got a crappy room. The hotel service is the worst I've ever seen. The sheets and blankets in my room were sour, we called house keeping several times, when someone finally came he brought sheets, with no blankets and said it was not his job to change them. We asked him to smell the sheets and he said that was not his job either, but he had on a housekeeping uniform, go figure?We called several time after, the last person hung up on me. We slept on sheets with no blanket after we made our own beds. One bar of soap in the room and when we checked in at 3pm there were dishes in the hallway that at 3am the next day were still there.I will never stay at the Tropicana again.

Poor service, poor promotions, poor elevators, and poor front desk service sum up our stay. Ice machine not working on 3 floors above and below ours. The casino would not comp a second tee shirt or allow me to buy a second one for my young daughter. The outdoor pool was closed for an entire afternoon for chemical maintenance. The indoor pool was very small. Overall the rooms were adequate, very much like you expect from this price range. The elevators for the west tower were unbelievably slow, not just at check in and check out. Would not recommend a stay here.

Had problems with cleanliness of room. They switched rooms for us but those rooms were directly below laundry room and had a second night of no sleep. Trop was not very accommodating to fix the problems. Spent alot of time waiting in line to check in, they need a better system. I had a group of 7 people with 2 rooms and spent alot of money in the casino and still didn't get much help resolving issues we had, had to argue with management. When your on vacation you expect a clean and quiet room as that is what is advertised.

The Hotel is old. Needs major work done to it. The wall paper was coming down. The carpets in the hallways were messy. Our room the shower did not work well, the tub did not drain properly. There was no guest service book in the room. When questioned at front desk, they said no one had any because they were up grading them. Nice to have known at the beginning. Will not stay their again, until fixed. It is a nice location for going on the beach.
