My stay at Tropicana Casino & Hotel was a break my wife was looking for. We originally had plans to visit Kissimmee, FL but we changed due to oil leak in the gulf would make us not enjoy the beaches. My sons too had grown up to be teenagers so were not so fond of Disney World's Magic Kingdom at Kissimmee, FL. But my youngest son did enjoy a free ride at Disco Swings later on and my older son enjoyed getting wet in sea beach. I played poker and won. So we all were happy visiting Atlantic City and Tropicana Casino & Hotel.

It's been my third year at the Tropicana and it's always a pleasant experience. This year was special because I lost my mother the first of august and I needed to recuperate. The rooms are wonderful and very quiet. The bed and pillows are the best I ever seen and ...I do travel alot.You don't have to go anywhere else to have good food and lots of fun. Tropicana does have everything you need. My favorite is the Cuban bar.

Hotel was clean, rooms were nice, lots of shopping and the Marketplace was a nice catch all for dining without having to leave the hotel. Check in service was abrupt and unfriendly. Was not given information about hotel services and did not receive the diamond card - had to go back and ask for it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but the next time we come down and are greeted with a rude staff member, I will ask for a manager.

Never stayed here before-besides the horribly long check-in everything was nice.The pool gets a little crowded but it was nice and clean. The beach is right out the front door. The staff is friendly and helpful-especially when you get lost trying to find your room...it can be quite confusing the first day of your stay. I would most likely stay here again. I guess my only complaint was waiting over an hour to check in.

Nice and clean room but very noisy during night. Impossible to sleep due to room neighbors' party all night long !!!

There is no security service on the room levels of the Tropicana as we experiment last year at the Showboat Hotel (key card for elevators access).

The Tropicana has a very attractive Casino and the gallery is interesting with various choice of stores.

We did not have lunch at the Tropicana, just breakfast at Starbucks Cafe. Good.

We will not come back to stay in an hotel casino on the boardwalk and will prefer smaller hotel outside Atlantic City in the future.

This was my second visit to Tropicana and we stayed in the South Towers and i love it. We have walked the board walk and checked out other casinos and Tropicana is our choice. We love the casino and the rooms are beautiful and very clean. The Tropicana has everything you would want. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And checking in and out of the hotel and the valet service run very smoothly. Hope everyone enjoys there stay as much as we did. Hope to be back soon.

Overall I really enjoyed my time at the Tropicana. However,upon arrival I was told I would be given a handicap accessible room, when all I mentioned while making reservations was that myself and friend could not be exposed to a smoking room for medical purposes. Additionally, as far as cleanliness goes we found a cigar rapper pushed under the front of the bed, plus a make-up stained towel in the bathroom. For $350 this is unacceptable. Thank you.

Great clean room with ocean view at very affordable rate.

Tropicana complex is huge so be sure you know which tower your room is located in.

Lines at check-in between 3 and 4 p.m., but overall good experience. Express checkout much easier.

Getting bags to room required lots of walking.

Enjoyed outdoor pool on 6th floor of North Tower.

The restaurants and shops throughout the complex were attractive and inviting.

Smoke free areas were greatly appreciated. Too bad this doesn't cover the entire casino because smoke drifts from one section to another.

This hotel is great for adults. When you bring the kids it isn't easy to travel to and from the boardwalk. The rooms were awesome, large bathrooms, easy access to food and shopping. When we checked in it was so easy, and they didn't make us wait until the regular check in time. I do think that it is a little insane to charge $10 per person per day to use the pool. My overall opinion of the hotel was great!

This past weekend, I stayed at Atlantic City for the first time. Two of my friends and I stayed at The Tropicana Casino and Hotel. We really enjoyed the high energy and the casinos. However, after we spent time in the casino, we wanted to find a place to dance and someone recommended Harrah's Pool. The Tropicana and Harrah's were located on different ends of the city and it was a little difficult to get a cab. Other than the distance from Harrah's, The Tropicana was an amazing hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely come back again!

I was very disappointed in the Tropicana. When arriving for my friend's birthday, the Tropicana's key machine was down. I realize this was not intentional or controllable, but the staff was not accommodating or friendly to our group. After waiting two hours for our room key, and ruining my friend's birthday, we were not accommodated for our time. The room was clean and nice, I would recommend this hotel again, I was just disappointed in the way business was conducted.

I felt the woman that checked me into the hotel was not very friendly. She seemed annoyed at any questions asked of her. The rooms were comfortable although the bathroom was a bit run-down. The rooms and halls were clean. The layout of the hotel was a bit overwhelming but nice. Location to the beach and boardwalk was excellent. There was more than ample and affordable parking. I would most definitely recommend staying here as my time was most enjoyable.

The business office was very efficient. They met with us and was offered the maximum facilities and complimentary deals since I played heavy at the casino. Very courteous and welcoming.The staff was always extremely helpful when ever we needed help or information. However, it was not the same at the front desk. They didn't even smile or welcome but was with a straight face through out the check in. It is the entry to your hotel and you need people who are pleasant and polite.

The hotel is very large. We stayed in the Havana tower and it is a 5 minute walk at least to just about every part of the hotel. The room was very basic,2 beds and a bathroom with a partial view of the ocean.There are only two drawers for clothes which was not enough for three people. There is also a closet for hanging clothes.
The only complaint I have is that for a full day there was left-over room service dishes left in our hallway. It seemed that any employee that walked by would just leave it for the next person to pick up. Housekeeping even cleaned the rooms and left the dishes in the hall.
The location is right on the boardwalk and it was a very easy walk to the other casinos.
It is about a 20 minute walk to the outlet stores.

It was great moment to stay at Tropicana (Atlantic City) with my family. The hotel is located in a very convenient place in front the boardwalk and lot of restaurants. The 'Quarter' is a great place to enjoy without worrying the out side weather. The exit process is simple even a 'caveman' can do. There are a couple of things that I could not get comfortable with. First, it was hard for me to find an entrance for the 'self-parking' and the parking ticket. (Actually, there is no parking ticket. Just pay the fee (it doesn't matter how many days you stay there) when you leave the parking building. The check-in line was too crowded so that we had to wait a long time compared to previous experiences with other hotels. And the elevators were hard to get in at the rush of checking-out.
Finally, I found that even it is smoke-free area, I can easily smell the smoke in the hotel. Anyway, I was happy to stay at Tropicana, and I'm sure that I'll choose here next time when I visit AC.
