This hotel was AMAZING! The staff was so helpful and courteous. The rooms are PERFECT!!!! Great views of all the casinos and the beach. I would definitely LOVE to stay there again. When we first walked in I expected the room to be so small but I was pleasantly suprised. The closet space was very good for 2 people. I also liked the fact that I didnt have to sit on the bed when I was watching tv. The sofa and the table with chairs was a great touch. The bed was soooo incredibly comfy that I went to sleep right away both nites. We loved it! There was also a great choice of restaurants. The only bad thing was we were looking for something to eat really late so we went to the Seaside Cafe inside the hotel but we didnt want to eat in. The would not let us take any food to go back to our room. Also, when we went to check in around 5, the line was looped around sooooo long. It took about 25 minutes just to check in. Other than that, I had a great time; and I didnt want to leave! Perfect for that necessary getaway!

We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel to other. The only draw back was the wait in line to check in(at least 45 minutes and the wait to get our car back from valet parking when we were leaving took at least 1/2 hour. Other than those two things the hotel was wonderful and we had a great time. The servers in the restaurants were very friendly and very sufficient. The casino was very comparable to Las Vegas and the service was also excellent. The only thing I would reccommend would be more bathrooms so you don't have to walk so far to get to one. The space in between rest rooms was very long. Also there were alot of people with children walking through the casino which we thought you weren't allowed to do.
We had a great time and would not hesitate to stay there again. Although the price for a weekday stay was on the steep side. The hotels in Vegas are much cheaper. We stayed in New York New York in vegas in April and it was alot cheaper than Atlantic City.
The food in the sit down restaurants was excellent but the buffet could use some improvements. There was not alot of variety and the desserts were terrible.

THe older section of the Tropicana has very little in the way of any entertainment. All of the excitment is in the newer HAVANA TOWERS SECTION. There, they have a huge IMAX movie theater that I loved. During my stay i saw SUPERMAN RETURNS in 3D and THE ANT BULLY in 3D. I actually enjoyed SUPERMAN better on the gigantic 8 story high IMAX screen. In the HAVABA TOWERS SECTION they have a large choice of international foods, Chineese, Russian, South of the Boarder and a dessert only resturant.(mmmmmmmm) My favorites are RI RA, Authentic Irish food and CARMINE'S wonderful Itanlian food in large family size portions.
The rooms are your standard no frills hotel room. The staff at the TROPICANA is always pleasent and polite.
Be adsived on the day I was there in the West Tower The elevators were not working and some guest were complaining that they had to wait over an hour for the elevators. In the morning during check out times the elevator were over crouwded and the guest on the lower floors and to ride the elevator up to the top floors just to ensure they were able to have passage on the route down to the lobby. Also on that morning only 2 of the 4 elevators were working.
I would stay at the Tropicana again just because of the good deals that you get on AtlanticCity.com But maybe invest a lttle more money and get a room in the HAVANA TOWERS instead.

The system of billing for rooms and the use of comp poits needs to be changed. I never stayed any place where the rooms were charged to you credit card either before you got there or before you checked out. I was always given the choice of paying cash or leaving it on the credit card I used to hold the rooms. I was also allowed to use my comp points and coupons towards the bill. I was told I could not do this because my room bill had been charged and I had no room service. CT casions are not handled this way. You are given all choices.
Also, if we had used points there, we would need to go get ticket and then depending on where you were going to use it the value changed. In CT casions points are points no matter if you use in shops or resturants or toward you bill and no ticket is required. You just give card and they take off whatever you need. No different values.
Security is very lacked there. There is no one at the elevators to check if you have room keys and if not where are you going. CT does.
Hot water in rooms poor.
Would more then likely try another hotel if we came back as well as recommend to friends that they check how other hotels differ.

Our stay at the Tropicana hotel was a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and courteous. The casino was well lit with an ample number of slots and table games. The table minimums were reasonable. There were plenty of eating establishments with reasonable rates except for the buffet which I feld was a little overpriced. The only other area for improvement could be the check-in signs. Coming in from the parking lot there were no signs that I saw directing were to go to chech-in. That being said I would like to say that my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Tropicana and would most likey consider coming back and recommending your hotel to others.

The hotel was very beautiful and very clean. We had a great time. I stay with my husband and two teenagers.We travelled to Atlantic city so we could attend a concert at other nearby hotel .Before we check in, we went to the restaurant for luch buffett. The food was delicious, the staff in the restaurant were very helpful.When we finished at the restaurant we proceed to check in at the hotel.The staff at the check in desk was also very helpful. My son loves to play video game, he was happy the hotel has that facility also.

The hotel was nice for the most part. Very accomodative at front desk. They put us in the Havana tower even though we were not booked for the more exensive tower. However, the room was not entirely clean. Left over razor in shower & coke cans, dirty towel. It appeared that someone went back in the room after checkout. The bed wasnt very comfortable-very stiff. Beyond that the Trop has been through some great renovations and there are a lot of good restaurant choices. Reccommend Red Square & the ice bar. Shopping area was also a good plus. The casino had all of the tables we wanted and there was a good mix of people of all ages. All in all it was a good experience.

I love the comfort of your king size beds. your restaurants,specially Cuba Libre, is nice to see how a little bit of Cuba can be enjoyed by us here in this country. Although i did have a problem, when i told my waiter that i had a very serious allergy to any kind of shell fish, and to make sure he would inform the cook. When my meal came to the table, what was sitting on my plate was nothing less than shrimps mix in. thank God i was paying attention and told the waiter immediately. I had visited the restaurant during this stay 2 other times and had no problem. I told the waiter they should really pay attention to things like this since the visit could of have turned deadly. Your Imax movie theater is great. I don't perticular enjoy the pools or hot tub too small.i feel it should be a little more inviting and luxurious. The casino staff are very helpful and do make your stay very pleasant.

I had a nice time, with the kids in the pool and the beach...and at night in the Casino....i'll be back soon...
i loved the casino, i can spend hours in it, i did not win money, but i had a good time. I could not go to the outdoor pool, because it was closed. We had to stay in the indoor pool, the only thing we did not like was the lifeguard, he was a little serious. Every thing else was nice, the restaurants, the decorations, the room...(the only thing i didn't like was that we didn't get clean towel at night..)

I ejoy the location,shopping, and dining. I enjoyed the night clubs in the Quarter. I feel that staying in the Tropicana is very safe, because I eat , shop,watch movies at the theater and dine all in the same building. This makes for a much better weekend getaway. It's much better that dealing with cabs and local night life with out the added security of the casino.I would like to stay again in October or November.I would always like to make my stays in atlantic city at the tropicana I think it's the best hotel casino.

Tropicana is a world within.........all to itself......there is so much to
do and see, is it the largest casino in Atlantic City? I walked through the casino and would say, "So many machines, so little time. As Arnold Swartzenagger would say>>>>>>>I'LL BE BACK! I went with my friend who comes to
Atlantic City more often than I and I am using her e-mail because I don't have an e-mail address I told her we will be back just let met know the date and time and I will even drive. So look for the two of us to return.

We liked the hotel but too much walking between two towers, got lost a few times. Did not know this before making the reservation.
I Parked in one garage,thought our room was in that tower, found out it was in the next one. Too much time spent tryng to find our way around.
Breakfast buffet cost too much, went to another restaurant where food was a la cart, this was fine. Had to wait to be seated even though there were empty tables around, we didn't understand this. Another restaurant is needed for breakfast.
The hotel was very clean and the food was good, but I like to park my car and walk into one building and not have a lot of confusion to find my way around.

Hotel was super, the beach was something else. It was somewhat dirty and the seashells were rough on the feet being they were everywhere, and some sharp. All the workers at the hotel were helpful and always willing to help. I requested ocean front/ocean view. I did get ocean view in the West Tower. I asked the receptionest when I checked in for ocean front and it wasn't available. I would have paid any additional charges. I did notice ocean front, if available, would have been way back. It was our 40th anniversary and I wanted it to be as special as possible.
