Upon arriving at the Tropicana Hotel desk, we had a long wait checking into the hotel. There were two(2) desk employees, one employee was on the telephone and the other employee was assisting a guest group. One employee was on the telephone for approximately 10-15 minutes. The other employee spent a great deal of time, approximately 15-20 minutes, with the guest group which seem to have a communication problem. The employee that was on the telephone assisted us with the check-in of our room. After checking in the room was located in the south tower which was probably a 5-7 minute walk. After we found the room it was nice and clean. The television could have been upgraded to a flat screen instead of a 20 inch tube type. Other than the delays of checking into the room our stay was great. Thanks!

I stayed at the Tropicana for one night to celebrate my friends 21st birthday. The hotel looks amazing, the Quarter is also very nice. Great restaurants like Carmines and Cuba Libre.
The hotel is in a great location, right on the Boardwalk and beach, its not a great beach but still very nice. The casino is large and has great selection of games. I would definitely go to the Tropicana again.
The only downsides were the pools were very small and overcrowded. Also in order to get to certain parts of the hotel you need to go through the Casino, this means there many underage people wandering around the casino and i didn't see hotel staff checking ID's as much as they should have.

The Tropicana has Ambiance! A lively place reminiscent of the Old style of Havana! I've been to many casinos, but you have the most variety of new games!I simply love the new Wizard of Oz game but you do need more of them! Dinner was a little pricey but worth the money with a wonderful variety!
Your rooms are Spotless and you have the best most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! Will definitely be returning!

Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Out stay was quite satisfactory. Room was clean and the hotel amenities were just right. Dinner at the Wellington was outstanding. Choices of dining options were plentiful. It was, disappointing, however, that the Business Center only operates on weekdays...closed on weekends. Business today is conducted all day, every day. These hours may need to be re-thought. Concierge desk was closed when we went for help on Saturday morning, another disappointment. Bell stand staff was not very helpful. Enjoyed casino. On balance, an enjoyable stay.

The hotel was awesome. Everything you could need or want is right at your fingertips. Whatever your desire is--shopping, dining, sightseeing? If you are not a gambler, but your spouse is...don't worry! There are plenty of other things to do. Take a stroll on the boardwalk and relax so you can get ready for the night life. We had reservations at one of the really nice restaurants inside the hotel and followed up with tickets for the comedy show (also located inside hotel). We stayed at the Havana Towers--cannot wait to come back to explore the other hotels!

First time staying at the trop - service at check in helpful and friendly - great choice of food in hotel only problem our view was of the roof and floodlights. Great being able to stay out late and not worry about walking the boardwalk after midnight going back to room.
Will be back again next year and hopefully get a little better view of the area. I am sure if we had asked they would had helped but they did let us check in a hour early.

I had my get away weekend with my husband. We had anniversary and also it was my husband birthday.
The Tropicana Hotel is really nice hotel for any type of vacation.
I had good experience except for one thing, when we came to our room I was really disappointed, I found food in the refrigerator, our room wasn't clean perfectly, and this kind of mistake from hotel might make your vacation less enjoyable. After all I think, Tropicana Hotel is very nice place.

Upon arrival I was given a room w/o a bed. When I called to complain I was told that was the room I had booked! You can only imagine my upset as I headed for the front desk. One of the staff members took care of me and then gave me a beautiful room...with a bed. But still I should not have had to go through that kind of upset in the middle of the night and after driving all night to get to the hotel...I was very upset!

We had stayed at the Tropicana a few years ago when the renovations were being made and looked forward to returning to see the result. Our friends that we travel with had already been back and had told us that we would love it. And guess what? We did!! The Quarter is just fabulously beautiful. The stores are great. I, of course, always enjoy the Marketplace. All of the food that we have ordered has been delicious. We ate at Hooters, Fiesta Buffet, the delis and a couple more places. They were all great. I can't leave out the slots--you have lots of varieties of machines to choose from and that helps to keep it interesting even when you may not be winning. (smile). I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit.

My husband and I needed a little break and the Tropicana was a great place to stay to achieve that. We had never stayed there and were amazed at all the shops and restaurants available in the hotel alone. We both enjoy the casino and really didn't find any need to go anywhere else on the boardwalk except to go out and enjoy the beach. My husband and I would not hesitate to stay at the Tropicana again, actually if anything, we would love to have a longer stay next time.

The hotel is nice. It has lot's of nice places to eat, a movie theater, lot's of places to shop and easy access to the Boardwalk and the beach. The casino is also nice. There's also several other casino's within walking distance. I personally would not recommend this location to people with small children. I didn't notice too many "kiddie" friendly activities. I was disappointed with the room we stayed in for the amount of money it cost me. I was bringing my Uncle for his 70th birthday and the room was pitiful. The carpets were dirty/stained, only two drawers for clothes, beds were hard, internet didn’t work and the room stunk of I don't know what. I was unhappy with the casino because of the lack of variety of poker games at low to med stakes. I was unhappy enough to check out one day earlier than reserved because of it. I was embarrassed to bring my uncle there. For a $700 weekend hotel stay? I would have thought the room would have been nicer, after all this was the Tropicana Hotel. I chose this hotel for is popularity. I am sorry for the harsh comments, but I am sorry I stayed there.
