I stayed at the Trop numerous times, the stay basically depends on the tower you are in. This time I was in the west tower, which is older. I had no coffee pot in my room, but the other towers do. The decor is cheap looking and boring. However, it's a room to sleep in and that was all I was looking for. The most annoying thing about the hotel is that the check in is out of the way, you have to lug your bags to one side of the casino and then back to the other to go to your room.

I come there for my honeymoon I think you need to update the rooms . The furniture was was kind of old know flat screen tv . When I went to the diamond club office every worker was rude . If you want someone to come you need to work on customer service that a plus. To check out I was staying in 5934 I thought at 9 o'clock the check out booth was open it was not. If you are paying money for a room the business center should be free.

The bed is really the only thing I have to complain about. It was horrible. There was a dip in the middle of the bed and every time we moved we would sink into it and get uncomfortable and have to get ourselves out of the dip. The line was long to check in, but when we finally got up to the desk, the gentleman was very pleasant and made sure where we were going to get to our room. I would stay here again. But I would hope that they change the beds by then.

Was given a room upgrade upon checkin due to request for anniversary. room had nice view but lacked sitting area/furniture, carpets were stained/worn. Staff was good, imax movie good. comedy club was great, plenty of places to eat. quite a lot of shopping if you like to shop which i do not. i found the casino was ok although too few tables, tables were crowded most of the time. only one table for "let it ride" which is my game of choice so i ended up playing the slots with my wife, something which I really do not care for.

Hotel was nice, but it was confusing finding check in. I had a great room in the South Tower with a view of the beach. The only drawbacks were the lack of extra outlets for laptop chargers, phone chargers, etc., and the fridge didn't work. The morning I left, there was a water main break, and I wasn't able to take a shower. I called maintenance, and they said to let the water run, and it would be fine. 45 minutes later, the water was still brown, and I had to leave. They didn't offer a late check out or anything in return.

Tropicana is a very nice looking hotel,and has great bars and shopping,the only downside to this hotel is the service and lack of customer service.The feel of the hotel is like there is no one running the show. The casino is really nice and has plenty of table games and many many slot machines.Tropicana also has an amazing Imax screen where you can watch new releases and has kid friendly movies and snacks,overall its a great place to get away.

Room was clean upon arrival but the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and right door on the closet kept coming off track. The elevators in the "West Tower" were a nightmare. Were being worked on most off the weekend and were extremely overcrowded around check in and check out time. Took forever to get one. They did not even work at all when we checked out. They had to bring us down in the service elevators that the housekeeping workers use. Our stay was OK. Probably would look elsewhere when returning to AC but The Tropicana had the lowest rates out of ALL the other Casino Hotels on the boardwalk.

This is an awesome place to stay for family. I enjoy staying because of cleaning,entertainment,gambling and nice cozy bar and very easy access to beach and restaurant.they have verity of restaurant all over the place and its so easy for anybody to choose what to eat. also, its so easy to get to main street. The only thing that I would like them to add is, they don't offer any two bedroom suite for families more than four so sometime that I am coming with my family we have to stay in separate room.

The Trop is a decent hotel to stay for a night or two. The draw here is the terrific restaurants and the shopping village. The Marketplace was fantastic as well. Staff was nice overall and front desk were very helpful. The rooms were adequate but can use updating. The casino needs a complete overhaul. Some tables are old and stained from years of usage. The dealer for Let it Ride had to keep resetting the table to get the bonus lights on. Also, security appears to be lacking. Sadly, people living on the street outside regularly enter the hotel and dig through garbage, while you're eating nearby. I would consider giving it another try, just for the restaurants alone. However, I may just stay at a more updated casino hotel and take the walk to the Trop for dinner at Carmine's!

I chose the Tropicana as a destination for a romantic getaway with my girlfriend. Found a great rate on the AtlanticCity.com website. Checked in on a Friday for 2 nights. Valet parking was very easy and inexpensive, check-in was very fast. We stayed in the West Tower in a standard room. Halls had some debris and dust, nothing too bad though. Room was reasonably clean. Again, some dust and wear, but that's to be expected. Shopping, IMAX theater, restaurants, and casino were great. No issues with any of that. You can definitely stay here and not have to leave the hotel as there is so much to do. Only issue We had was with the Concierge. We called down to make a reservation for dinner at Ping's Golden Dynasty. When we got down there for out 8:30 reservation, we were told no reservation was ever made. Very disappointing, although were were seating and served anyhow. Great food and service at the restaurant, definitely recommended. Overall, great hotel/casino to stay at. Recommended for anyone looking to getaway, just park and enjoy. Not really recommended for families with children, there is a lot of partying/drinking at all hours of the night in the hotel rooms, which actually made for some pretty noisy nights. But outside of that, would definitely stay again.

I do not have any problems with this hotel, however enjoying a walk along the boardwalk is not the most pleasant experience.
My wife and I tried walking the whole length one night because the weather could not have been more beautiful, but you can't walk more then 20 yards without someone asking you for money or trying to get you to go in one of those push carts. This became annoying after a while and we cut our walk short.
I would not recommend walking on the boardwalk after dark.
Stick to walking during the day when it's more crowded and you should be ok. Just ignore the undesirables and be firm with them.

Unfortunately, we stayed in the Havana Tower, which was quite a bit away from the front desk and casino. A lot of walking for my sister, who has trouble walking.

Also, I was disappointed in the casino as most of the slots were penny slots, and I prefer nickle slots.

The rooms was nice, clean and comfortable. There were many restaurants in this hotel, and we especially liked P.F. Changs.

We especially liked that the hotel was on the boardwalk, but was quite far from other casinos.

I visited Noodles Bar with coupon and food was good but service is really bad. I felt like feeding the pet by the staff. This is the only thing made me feel bad.(they were all Asian staff and bad manner)
Some part of casino was really high air conditioned and me and my friend almost get cold. The room maid was very gentle and elegant.
I will come back to stay and try to visit Noodles Bar again to see if there is improvement.

This hotel was beautiful in the inside but not very clean. The shower curtain was dirty and there was a ginger ale bottle under the bed(shows how well they clean) and also we could not enjoy our view from the 48th floor because the windows where so dirty. The staff(bell hopper) was very helpful and so where the rest of the staff that's why I would go back to the Tropicana hotel you don't find friendly staff everywhere. Oh and the hallways where very hot and stuffy.

I went to AC with my girlfriends to celebrate my 50th birthday. We had a wonderful dinner at the Palm. We were extremely disappointed that there was no entertainment to be found after dinner in the hotel geared for our age group. There was no entertainment in the clubs until 11:30 or later and it was targeted to the younger crowds. Room was nice and very clean. Check in was extremely slow, once we were able to find the registration desk. Check out was just as tedious. Only one set of elevators were working, so we waited over 30 minutes to get on the elevator to leave. The registration desk was still not staffed properly so I finally gave up and just left my key in the box.
