I like the atmosphere at the Tropicana, but the cleanliness of the rooms have been declining. Also we left at 3:30 in the morning because the noise in the adjacent rooms were unbearable. People were slamming the doors all night, and there was either a loud party or fighting next door. It was our 24th anniversary, and the hotel was very disappointing. I usually don't complain, but I think in the future I will go to a different hotel. Thank You Gina McEntee

We stayed at the Tropicana on a Saturday night.
Had a great time; however check out was L O N G !!
It took us around 1/2 hour to wait for an elevator to leave.
This was because everyone was leaving at once... very frustrating and dangerous. The rooms were ok, but you cant open the window for fresh air, this was disappointing.
It was loud, even at 5am. people were partying and drinking all night making noise! We had to call security so we could sleep. silly...

I'm from NJ and I visit Atlantic City often. If you are a gambler of course this place is awesome, but it's also awesome for those who don't like to gamble. There are so many things to do it seems there is never enough time. You can visit each casino, gamble, eat at the many different restaurants, or you could grab a slice of Atlantic City pizza on the boardwalk. There are plenty of places to shop within the casinos or if you'd like you can check out the outlets within walking distance of the casinos. I love Atlantic City and always go back for more.

Room only partially made up when we checked in, and that was late afternoon, so no excuse.
No information at all in the room about hotel services, restaurants, facilities, and front desk said "they are working on it". Never seen a hotel without info in the room.
Room layout was pleasant, view good.
Restaurant (Carmine's) in the Quarter was very good. Although very busy, we were seated quickly. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and portion sizes (huge). He seemed to know better that we did about how much to order, and he was right. Bus help was good, in that they had the earlier course leftovers packed up for us even before the remaining courses arrived.
Shopping is good in the Quarter. The Zeytinia Gourmet Food Shop has a wide and wild variety, but watch out for the prices.
Took about 25 minutes for the valet to retrieve our vehicle, but it was a busy checkout time, and in their defense, they helped load up the truck.

My husband and I needed a night out we both are very busy with our jobs. We had a great time the shopping was wonderful as well as the dining. We were not all that impressed with the room a little dungy no coffee pot no cups and no garbage cans. The price was reasonable. We have recently received a comp room as well as some great offers in the casino, we will be back and hopefully we will have a better room Thank You

The hotel was adequate, but the elevator was very very slow, which resulted in lines of drunk people waiting to get on. The room was old and outdated for the price. The windows were dirty and the pillows hard as a rock and only three for a king sized bed. The bathroom was handicapped access, which was not what I requested. This hotel is overpriced for the experience it offers, though we enjoyed the access to the boardwalk and other casinos.

The hotel does NOT offer a room safe. I like the room Jacuzzi however the tub did not hold water but didn't drain well (figure that one out) and was dirty. When we checked in we were given expired coupons and no information on any shows in the area. IMAX theatre was GREAT!!! After going to all the casinos The Tropicana had the better poker tables... The beds were very soft and comfortable just like home, no problems sleeping.

Room was not as clean as I would like, dust on all lamps, hair on shower wall but it was fixed once it was brought to house keeping's attention. Everything is there in hotel--casino, entertainment, dining, but be advised...food is expensive. The casino is fun & clean. All the staff was very helpful & answered all our questions as to sights to see & where to go. It was a nice low stress week in AC with nothing to do but have fun. Yes I would stay here again...they take care of their guests!!

The room was okay but not for the price. They tried to make it more modern but to me I could have stayed at a nicer hotel out of the casino itself. It was too far of a walk from the parking garage to the elevator itself. And trying to get out of the parking garage was not fun due to everyone trying to leave and only having one cashier at the exit of the garage. The only way I might consider staying here again is if I was comped a nicer room.

The only issue I had was if I leave my room late like no later than 5 pm no housekeeping work was carried out to my room even though the sign was left in the door requesting housekeeping service and that was annoying.This happened 2 days consecutively but the room was cleaned on 3rd day and I find that to be unacceptable with having to seeing my room service dishes.Upon checking in which was late at night and being 1st visit, no bellman was available to open the front door, assist with luggage or direct you to the room. The location is great within walking proximity of the Boardwalk.The operational hours for the casino excellent, market is convenient.The hotel also accommodates young children as well which is good.

We had a pleasant stay but found it quite pricey and not a great value. The elevator situation was awful. We often had to wait over five minutes. The bathroom was old and felt creepy and dirty. The room itself was very nice. The restaurants were great but, again, very pricey. The staff was pleasant and helpful whenever we needed them. It would have been nice if there would have been some substantial coupons or promotions that would have made us feel better about the price.

Casino and amenities were great. Rooms were OK, but could be cleaner. Parking and general signage to direct your long walks navigating through the maze of the casino were not good.
Entertainment options were great - really no reason to leave the hotel. If you did decide to leave, the rest of the casinos and boardwalk attractions were a long walk away. Shops in the quarter and on the boardwalk outside of the hotel were very nice. Liked the late night cafe on the boardwalk.

Our experience was not as we expected. We checked in at 3 and was given the keys and key holder with our room number of 3824. We went straight to the room to drop off our luggage only to find that housekeeping had just started to clean the room. She was puzzled that they would assign the room as she had only entered it in the system that she was just beginning. She offered that we could put our luggage in the closet instead of waiting for her to finish. We did just that, however when we returned 5 hours later to change our cloths as we got caught in a rain storm, neither key opened the door. We had to go all the way back to the hotel lobby. I handed the keys with the envelope over to the gentleman behind the desk and explained what had happened. His response was that "Your room isn't 3824, it is 3834". My response was "And I am suppose to know that how? Do you not see the number written on the key holder? We certainly did not write it down". He then issued us a ONE time key to enter 3824 and retrieve our luggage. I asked him what do we do if it was not there. He told us to call security. We travel back through the casino, still soaking wet, back up to the room and tried the one time key. It did not work. We walked down to the other room and got in, called down to the desk and explained our situation. This time we insisted that someone come up and let us in the other room to retrieve our belongings. During the entire experience, not one of the persons we were in contact with apologized for our inconvenience. During our stay the nicest person we met was the parking lot attendant when leaving.

The atmosphere of the hotel was very good. The shopping areas and restaurants were all fancy and nice-looking. The shopping was a good place to browse around and spend some time looking at things, but a bit too expensive to actually do some serious shopping. However, the joke shop there was pretty amusing, and there are magic shows. In the shopping area is also an iMax theatre, so that is also a good place to have fun.
I didn't eat at any of the restaurants, but there is a fair variety of places to eat, all of which looked pretty good, except for the buffet. It was expensive for such a basic buffet. I went to the Hilton buffet instead.
The cheapest rooms weren't all that great. Mine had two queen beds, which were very comfy, but the room lacked amenities that are found in one star motels, like a coffee maker. Also, the hallway and elevators around the rooms weren't very clean.
Overall, it was a great location since access to the beach was so convenient. It was also located on a nice stretch of the boardwalk, so I can't really complain.
