I would not recommend this hotel/casino to anyone. All you got done was walk. The rooms were so far away far away from casino. We had to go from our section of rooms through the casino to the other section to get to pool. Terrible!
Then the pool closed at 7:45 p.m. We had about 20 minutes. The pool was nothing to brag about
either. In my opinion dirty. The walking to get to everything just seemed that was all we got done. Would not stay at Tropicana again.

I was not happy with the room at all. It was not what I expected it to be at the Tropicana. It was not worth the amount of money they charge. Atlantic City.com asked what type of bed but they did not advise me that it is first come first serve. It was on my reservation which bed type and the front desk agent did not inform me that I would not be getting what was on my reservation.

The hotel was just so, so, we stayed in the North Tower and there is no way to get to it except through the casino with your luggage.

The casino itself was not very smoker friendly.
You got a little room on the first floor near the buffet and a little room in Penny Heaven. If there were more areas, I could not find them. We went out to the Boardwalk to have a cigarette, which was pleasant this time of year, but how about in November, December, etc.?

The buffet was expensive ($20 per person for breakfast) and the food was not very good. By the time you got from selecting your food and back to your table, the food was barely warm. After the breakfast experience we didn't bother to go back for dinner.

All in all, my stay in Atlantic City was not that pleasant and I'm not sure if I would go back, since there are much nicer casinos and restaurants closer to where I live.

I would never stay there again as a frequent visitor of AC that was one of the worst stays that I have had our room was dirty to the point of wrappers in between the bed and the night stand dirt and other debris around the edges of everything. The dresser drawers were broken and had mildew in them. Asking housekeeping for extra towels was like pulling teeth, we never did get them and one person in our group had to dry himself off with just the hand towels after a shower. When asking a housekeeper for extra towels I was told to call housekeeping for them, maybe if they would have had a directory in the room for extensions for such items it may have been easier but it didn't matter because we didn't get them anyway.

Big problem with Front Desk and valet.....my bags were lost for 3 hours....delaying my trip....I think the staff was deliberately delaying the bags, because I was not originally at my room when they arrived (because I went up the wrong tower....another big problem was the elevator in the North Towers were down.....so there were lines, delays...and we tried to use the freight elevator.....I also had problems with internet connection, which never worked.....so not a great stay....The casinos and restaurants were very good...

We arrived late in the evening, had made our reservation for the Havana Tower, but was given a room in the West Tower.

Room appeared to be under renovation with wall paper peeling from walls, no local or hotel info in the room and bathroom appearing unfinished. When we called the front desk, there was no answer, tried concierge to find out they close at 8PM.

Entering from parking structure confusing with poor signage leading you to a check in desk.

One positive comment, the bed was very comfortable.

Here is a list of my complaints:

1) Most of the time I called the front desk no one answered. The phone just rang .
2)I requested room service and never received it.
3) It took me over 30 minutes to catch the elevator going down during check-out time (11:00AM).
4) Someone entered my room through the jointed door.
Nothing was taken. Just a broken cigarette was left on the floor and my small carry on bag was rambled.

I was here for the first time and recieved most of my information from other travelers as hotel staff was few and far between. I had to dispute charges on my bill that were not accurate, and when I called to do so the response was a long pause followed by a voicemail where I left a message and am still waiting for a return call. I spent $700.00 for two nights and still had to pay a parking fee in a garage where several items were stolen from our truck. Benefit of the doubt maybe I was just not having a good weekend, I was a little anxious since I couldn't have a cigarette because after I requested a smoking room I got off the elevator for my floor to discover that the entire floor was non-smoking. When I called the front desk to ask to be switched I was then informed that there were no smoking rooms left. Still not horrible, but one more little annoyance.

My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway since it was our 19th anniversary. We booked late, so our only option in close proximity to the boardwalk was Tropicana. We requested a room overlooking the ocean to our dismay, upon arrival the room was not impressive, decor was lacking, the floors were dirty and our view was definitely not of the ocean our boardwalk; such a disappointment. I must say we had a good time hanging out in the casino. Amenities outside of the room were superb. Not recommended for romantic getaways.

table games were very high in price... $ 50.00 roulett tables and thats it.. no $ 25.00 tables. i thought that was crazy when i normally play $10-15 tables... maybe i am just cheap.. i wouldn't go back here. the rooms were dirty and the bathroom was very questionable. my wife went into the club she said she felt like she was back in high school. if you like high priced tables dirty bathrooms small bedrooms and stupid clubs you should go here.

Upon arriving at the Tropicana my wife and I found parking and check-in to be somewhat of a hassle. The hotel staff came across as being rude, the room requested wasn't available and the drywall on the celing above the shower was falling down. I feel that the "value" of the room was not worth even the discounted rate we paid. As "first timers" to Atlantic City on what I thought would be a unique getaway for our one year wedding anniversary, my wife and I were not at all impressed with the Tropicana. While in Atlantic City we did visit other casinos where we found the staff to be friendly and the hotel to be overall more appealing.

Checked into Tropicana at 10PM - guaranteed arrival, pre-paid. Clerk told me the meeting I came to attend did not exist - 20 minutes later "found" it. Went to my room - was given handicap room (I'm not)- room was filthy-never prepared for next guest. When bags were delivered, told to call manager, but he wouldn't answer the phone. Called housekeeping who said it was my fault - they couldn't access "my" room with their key. Took 1/2 hour for them to get there. They re-made bed & pretended to clean bathroom - which amounted to picking up wet towels & providing clean dry towels...bathroom was still filthy. Had no refrigerator or in room coffee. No maid service provided next day - a problem because handicaped shower allowed water all over bathroom. On check out told there was no complaint logged, so how could they do anything - remember, the manager didn't answer phone! Added $2.00 charge for using 800 service on phone - used hotel phone only to register wake-up call. I was told the charge is added to all rooms - and the desk clerk said couldn't be removed. The Manager did - and said would send me a certificate for "complimentary stay" - why would I ever go back? Worst accommodations I ever experienced - even third world countries have been fantastic - so what's the problem here?
