The food here is great. The Tropicana has many options for food that are reasonable in price such as PF Chang's, the buffet, Carmines, etc. Right on the boardwalk where you can walk out and see the water. The tables were pretty crowded at night and in the mornings so you typically had to wait about 5-10 minutes for a lower paying table. This was pretty much the same for the slot machines (nickel and penny machines). Although the gambling is the main attraction, there are a few other activities you can do without leaving the hotel such as the comedy club and I-Max theater. We have seen several comedy shows, all which are hilarious here.

Very first time in AC so I didn't really know what to expect. I arrived at around 6pm on a Saturday and the place was very busy with guests gambling, dining or just walking around enjoying the liveliness of it all. The room was very clean and the views of the water were great. I would stay here again if I make reservations sooner so I lock in a better rate. Look forward to another visiting here in the summer!!

With the economy the way it is I felt that the front desk was rude and unaccommodating. We asked for an upgrade (the hotel was far from booked) and we were refused. We go there quite frequently and it's bad business to treat regulars that way. The entertainment there is great and we always have a nice time. However, I'm sure we can have a nice time in a place with a more pleasant staff. Everything else is fine, but if you want to keep customers you should differentiate yourself in more unique ways. The Trop really is a beautiful hotel, but the staff always leaves us with a bad taste, except bell service which is really nice.

I like the atmosphere at the Tropicana, but the cleanliness of the rooms have been declining. Also we left at 3:30 in the morning because the noise in the adjacent rooms were unbearable. People were slamming the doors all night, and there was either a loud party or fighting next door. It was our 24th anniversary, and the hotel was very disappointing. I usually don't complain, but I think in the future I will go to a different hotel. Thank You Gina McEntee

We won money in the Casino, so yes, the feeling is positive. The Cuba Libre Restaurant is nostalgic of the lobby and cafe at the Hotel Nacional in Havana, and the RED SQUARE Russian Rest. also offers the ambiance, typical of same stark setting in Miami Beach__Very clever international combination.
We were also relieved to encounter the Market where one can purchase basics, eg: bottled water, plentiful (healthy) snacks, hot and cold.
The ice machine on our 58th floor was no-op, so had to schlepp up/downstairs to collect same.
The air vents blow directly across the bed head areas, causing draft directly onto our heads.
We had to build protective tents with pillows!
Otherwise, "TROPICANA, Si, Siempre Si!"

The hotel is nicely located. The check-in is slow and only 1 clerk available. Romm is large and clean but the toilet paper and towel holders were broken. Hotel service is so so only and staff are not too friendly.there was no delivery of missing towels even requested twice. Telephone is not working. Have good choice of restaurants and comedy club. They charged me for the roller bed even ACC told me there is no charge at booking -a bit annoying.

A great place! Conveniently located close to the hot spots on the Board Walk.

Casino Action was slow for me--I did not win--but lasted a long time on very little cash. The slots seemed to pay out a little higher than my experience elsewhere. I got lucky at the table games for a while. Between the slots and table games, I played all night long.

The Hotel room were great. It was clean with appliances that worked. Maid service was timely and thorough. Fresh sheets were obvious.

I found the restaurant to be standard fare and while not overly exciting, it was good quality food that hit the spot and satisfied my need at the time I needed it.

Wonderful stay. One annoying fact was that the water in the bathroom was running dirty brown for about 10 minutes before we could take a good shower. Entertainment very good. Easy to access shopping and restaurants. The clerks at check in and check out was very pleasant an delightful in assisting with information. I would recommend friends and family to visit this hotel. I would definitely return in the summer to enjoy the boardwalk scenery which was beautiful, but too cold to enjoy in December.

My wife and I needed a close to home (we are from the Philadelphia suburbs) get a way weekend, and we chose the Tropicana. Our stay was exciting. The restaurants were great, the shopping was nice and convenient, the comedy show was very entertaining. We stayed in December and the Christmas light show was very well done. The entire Casino was very festive. You could definitely come and stay and never leave the hotel if you didn't want to, you have everything you need at your fingertips!! We would definitely come back again!!

We stayed at the Tropicana on a Saturday night.
Had a great time; however check out was L O N G !!
It took us around 1/2 hour to wait for an elevator to leave.
This was because everyone was leaving at once... very frustrating and dangerous. The rooms were ok, but you cant open the window for fresh air, this was disappointing.
It was loud, even at 5am. people were partying and drinking all night making noise! We had to call security so we could sleep. silly...

I have yet to have a bad room at the Tropicana. The only issues that I had was hotel check-in took a long time and the elevators in the West tower were near impossible to catch. However, during check-in the staff was very courteous and apologized for the wait. A host or manager was greeting guests that were waiting in line and was doing a good job of keeping people calm.
Every time we needed to ride the elevator in the West tower, we waited at least 5 minutes for it to arrive. During our check-out Saturday morning it took 10 minutes and we stopped on every floor on the way down. Friends of ours in the other tower said they had no such problem. I guess the West tower is older with less elevators. Other than that the stay was great!

I enjoyed staying at the Tropicana. I thought the rooms were beautifully appointed, and I enjoyed dinner at Wellington's. I would definitely consider this a hotel I would enjoy coming back to. We found the shops and the ambiance beautiful. The only thing we regret is that we only stayed for one night, and we did not get to fully appreciate all the amenities offered by your establishment. We hope to remedy that after the holidays and make a whole weekend of it next time!
