The temperature of the room was difficult to control but when you are on a tight budget it is a reasonable hotel for the price. It was an alternative to the casino hotels while still being close to them.
I would normally stay at the casino hotels but was only staying for one night and could not book a room at the preferred option. This was in walking distance of the casino I had wanted to stay at. It was a decent choice.

This was a last minute decision to go to A.C. for the weekend (we live in Philly suburbs) It was my fiance & 13 year old son. The people at the desk were rude, I requested a non-smoking room with 2 double beds. I never got my confirmation email from them, so I called and the guy at the front desk (who hardly spoke English) told me to check for it in the morning. I told him we were checking in tonite, so that wouldn't be acceptable. Then he told me not to worry about it, there was plenty of vacancy. When we got there, he told me there was only 1 room available, even tho I confirmed my stay with a credit card. When we got to the room, there was one bed and lots of ashtrays! We are allergic to smoke hence the request for the non-smoking room. We had to cram 2 adults and a 13 year old into one bed. The light in the bathroom didn't work, and there were water stains on the ceiling from an obvious leak. The room smelled old and smoky and had it not been so late, we never would have stayed. I am planning on writing to Travelodge to see if I can get any of my money back. The next night we stayed at the Flagship Hotel with much more room, cleaner, ocean view and excellent customer service, on site pool, gym, restaurant, kid area, etc for only $10 more per nite! I'm about to write my next review on them. I paid $194 to stay at a slummy motel where there was a drunk guy asleep on a chair in his underwear right outside our door who was STILL there in the morning when we checked out and paid $204 a nite for club med. Never again. From now on it's the Flagship hotel all the way!!

If I had a choice then I would of stayed at another hotel, because they did not have a pool or an elevator they had no room service and outdated decor.
on the other hand The person at the front desk was very helpful when needed. There should be access to nearby pools to facilitate the need for the pool when visiting with children then maybe it would of been better to stay there. They can also add microwaves to each room so that food can be heated as well.

I was surprised at how nice the hotel was considering price and location...I've stayed in a number of hotels in AC and found that this was actually one of the best for those staying on a budget. Rooms were very clean and staff was very helpful and nice. Great location across the street from the Taj and short walk to Showboat, Bally's, and Caesar's. We threw a great bachelor party for my brother everyone had a great time. Highly recommend especially for those looking to not spend an arm and leg on a hotel and especially for the younger crowd! Excellent price for the location!
