This hotel was very beautiful. Rooms are very clean. Staff was friendly,as was the front desk checking in and out. We ate at one of the restaurants which was also very affordable. We were there on a Thursday nite and the casino was fairly empty, and the restaurant was closing earlier than usual. We even ordered room service and it came up to the room in a timely manner. We had a very relaxing time and we would surely recommend the Taj Mahal to everyone!!!

You need a separate room for the smokers. The smoke in the casino was overwhelming even in the nonsmoker section. You had an amazing band play in the casino bar. I had never heard such a great band play such an array of all types of music. I would love to get their name. I recommend that you provide chairs for the beach too. I assumed that they would be provided and I didn't bring towels so I wasn't able to lay at the beach. Maybe you should provide a wristband to get chairs and towels at the beach.

This was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. Great service. Beautiful room, but when we opened the curtains, we were greeted with the worst view you could imagine! We were given an "inside" room and all we could see was a roof top and three brick walls! Not what we expected for our beach getaway weekend. Next time, we will insist on a room on the 15th floor or above. All in all though, we had a great experience and would definitely stay there again.

Taj Mahal holds many conveniences to the boardwalk, other hotels for shows, night life, restaurants and shopping within most people pockets.
The only suggestion I would add is that upon registration a hotel map is available for information of hotel features and location of garage, restaurants, SPA, pools, ATM machines and what age level is appropriate for what floor. This would allow that the enjoyment start ASAP. I was definitely impressed with an adventure where we definitely need not leave the hotel in which we were staying.

The hotel room was very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Front desk and room service personnel were very helpful and friendly. The pool was very large, but it would have been better if they also had a hot tub available. There is a good selection of restaurants -- from speedy/casual to elegant. The casino is large, with plenty of slot machine options, inlcuding smoking areas. The location is the only drawback. For those who enjoy the beach bars and area closer to Tropicana, it's a bit of a walk.

The worst part of the Taj Mahal was the very uncomfortable beds. While my friend who I went with had no problem with anything, I was unable to sleep at all. The casino itself is recognized worldwide for it's poker room and playing in it is not only fun but understandable as to why it's worth playing at it. Not the nicest looking poker room in the world, but still a very good one. Check in was a snap, and the rest of the casino was fun to check out. The location of the Taj might not be as close to all the other casinos, but the ones that are closeby are also worth a visit if you get tired of the Taj Mahal.

this hotel was very freindly .the only issue I had was the walk from the parking garage to the front desk at the hotel. We had to walk at least a mile twice to check in then get our bags. You couldnt drive up to the hotel front desk to check in or drop off unless you payed for Valet. the smoke was alittle much. the simulcast area was way to small and there was no where to buy racing forms to chart the horses I went to there newsstand and the only racing form they had was the next days. they need to open this up more and sell some racing forms.

How about a map of the hotel or more exact signage for locations of restaurants. A hospitality room would be nice for those of us arriving early for a show and needing to change from our travelling clothes. Fortunately, this hotel does allow you to change in their restrooms. Some do not!
For those unfamiliar with Atlantic City (like us) if you are arriving Sunday through a weekday, do not expect much to be open, other than the casino floor, after 8:00pm. Plan to eat dinner early!
Check in and check out can be a mob scene. Leave plenty of time for check-in and use Express Check out.
Of course the hotel and casino are quite lovely and the staff is very helpful.

I was not pleased with the smoke, we left the next morning , we didnt even care if we payed for two nights, the smoke was overwhelming. You could even smell the smoke in your rooms. It was hard to focus on the slots when you have one person on each side of you blowing smoke in your face, non-stop. The only thing that was excellent was the customers service. No I would not recomend this casino to any of our friends. No one wants to be near second hand smoke for hours at a time.Room service was very good.

Loved the Casino had a ton to play.Clean rooms,with great service.Fast check in and out with neat shopping all around.Room, service is fast and friendly.I will be back for ore fun in the future.It's not Vagas but is a good time.I will visit when its warmer next time.Slots are stingie but it was a weekday.All it needed was a day care for the little ones.All in all one great time for a fair price.would recomend to all.Only Negitive is the surrounding area with some homeless,Stay on the boardwalk and Casinos.

I really like this hotel and casino. I have been to others before. Sometimes they did not have internet access and had to spend long time for check-in. The size of room was not big. But this Taj Mahal hotel and casino did not have any problems that I mentioned above. Also it has a good location. It is close to the beach and also has connected to Showboat hotel and casino. They have a hallway and you can reach it thrgouh this hallway. You don't need to get out of the hotel in order to get Showboat. It's a great choice.

Rooms, and Casino were very good. Very dissapointed that 2 of the three Gourmet Restaraunts were not open the first night, the web site indicated all were open. Could not get reservations at the one remaining open between 6:30 pm, and 8:30 pm. Had to go next door to the Showboat for dinner. Had trouble getting an answer on the room phone from Guest Services, or Front Desk. I look forward to the house restaraunts on my stays in Atlantic City. Would have to reconsider another stay at this Hotel Casino, however would not completely rule it out.

This hotel was, in a word, okay. This was my first trip to Atlantic City; I came down for my 21st birthday, and it wasn't quite what I expected. This hotel did have a very good bar, but unfortunately the night club was closed when I made my visit. From what I hear the club is phenomenal, it's a shame I went down on a weekday to save money. I got my room for 95 bucks after taxes and I felt the value was well worth it though. The bed was slightly uncomfortable but the view was nice. The location was prime though! Right in the middle of the boardwalk in between all of the action. I would say though, travelling to other casinos is a must if you stay at this hotel, because the entertainment can only last so long. I truly needed to check out the other situations around town. I rate it a 6 out of 10.

The buffet was probaly the worse buffet ever. I love the location with the pier right out the back door on boardwalk. The service all around was great as well as helpful and nice. I had a wonderful experience in the casino... I played at almost all the casinos there but I only walk away happy at The Taj...You can always count on Blazing 7's and Wheel of Fortune at Taj, payout was incredible... My only real complaint was the restaurants and the awful food, I'm in the restaurant business and blow away any and all restaurants in the Taj... AVOID THAT AWFUL BUFFET AT ALL COST, DISGUSTING!!! If you have teens and small children this is ideal due to the rides and the pier are right outside the Taj's back door on the boardwalk along with the beach. Our room was very clean although pretty small but the discount I got on this site made up for it by far...Comps, promos, and such are good... Entertainment seemed very good. Larry the cable guy was there when we stayed... The four people that traveled with me enjoyed it very much...I have stayed at Harrahs, Trump Marina, Bally's, Sands, Tropicana, and Caesars. Taj and Harrah's are the only 2 out of all that I would stay at again. Taj for the gambling and Harrah's for the rooms...
