I paid more to stay at this hotel compared to those located in the middle of the boardwalk. I wasted my money and my time. I gambled and ate elsewhere everyday. The pool area was dirty, the room service took over an hour and a half for delivery, the sheets were ripped and dirty, and there were few options for entertainment during the week. Overall the hotel did not cater to the young professional. Also, by booking through this website I did not qualify for the additional cash back bonus offered through my credit card. My suggestion would be to stay elsewhere and book through another site.

When we arrived at 6, our room was not ready and they asked us if we would have liked to wait an additional hour and a half for it to be cleaned. Check out is at 12, check in is at 4, we arrived at 6, so you tell me how it would have taken them over 7 and a half hours to clean one room we booked back in October. Not many room amenities either. Very disappointed! We are not staying there again.

We requested a non-smoking room which we did,not receive. After traveling more than 3 hours we were told that we had to have the room reserved. The housekeeping was poor. Even the request to have the room cleaned was ignored. We contacted the manager about our problem but he dismissed us as if we were not important. The Taj Mahal is not in actuality what its advertisements claim it to be. We would never stay at the Taj Mahal again.

We have stayed at this location many times in the past and have always enjoyed our stay, but on this visit we were surprised as to how the hotel had gone down hill.
The parking garage was always bright and clean but this time it was littered with garbage, which was never cleaned up during our stay.
There was always a 10 to 15 minute wait for the elevators as half of them were not working.
In general the over all appearance of the hotel has really gone down hill.

The service was terrible. There were long lines at every turn. We waited at check in at least an hour and about 45 mins at the restaurants.
We were not provide the room we requested. When asking the hotel staff, they were rude and abrupt and basically said tough luck.
Staff was unhelpful on multiple other occasions. We called about airport shuttles available and the first number provided did not even support Atlantic City let alone the hotel. We would not stay there again.

We were finally checked in at 2:30pm, all we could see out the window was the new tower next to us no more ocean view. The young children in the room next to us started screaming at 2:30am and the parents were obviously drunk. They segregate smokers to certain areas of the hotel and I think the same should be done to people with small children so they can all enjoy the noise theirs and everybody else's kids make. My wife gambles but I was there simply to relax and enjoy what I thought was going to be a nice ocean view from our window; I got neither. Not only will we never stay at the Taj Mahal again but we will not return to Atlantic City. It's just not worth it.

We arrival after check in time However the check in line was extremely long. When we was able to get to the front desk, we were only register for one day.We explained to the front desk clerk that our reservation was for two day this took awhile to straigthen out.once this was done we where than give our room key. When we arrived to our room our room was not ready for us to go in. This situation had my husband upset because he wanted to take a nap.So we had to go to the casino for an hour.

The room was a bit pricey for just a basic room.
The room was very clean.
The bathroom was basic, but also very clean.
We did get the king bed that we requested which was very nice.
The bed was comfortable, and the linens also very nice and good quality.
The restaurants that we ate in for both breakfast and dinner were very nice. The service and the food were very good.
Over all it was a nice stay and would stay again.

The highlight of my stay was the beautiful room and the beach. Other then that it wasn't what I was expecting from such a renowned hotel. The casino was one of the biggest disappointments. The numbers of places to eat are very limited, not to mention everything there I would classify as junk food, very poor fine dinning. I found myself leaving to go to other casinos for gambling and dinning. My recommendation would be not to stay here. There are many other great hotel casinos that I enjoyed like the Borgata gets A in my book.

I initially made an online reservation where I was led to believe the rate would be cheaper as I booked well in advance. I requested on that same reservation a room with an ocean view. Upon arriving I had to pay for parking even as a guest in your hotel, not that big of a deal but when checking in I discovered through talking to the young lady behind the counter I was actually charged a little more booking on-line than if I walked in off the street. Again I asked the lady if our room had an ocean view, she doubled checked and said yes you do. Our room looked out at a building under construction, the Showboat, and the city however if we looked close we could see a little of the ocean . A mere inconvenience was the vending machine on the floor was out of order for the entire stay. On a better note the staff was pleasant and helpful, well except for the whole ocean view thing, the casino was enjoyable and the restaurants visited were delectable. I would consider staying again but it would take a little convincing.

Very disappointing with check in. Our check in person was not helpful at all. Was our first visit she offered absolutely no assistance. The young man offering assistance to the couple next to us was asking what floor would you like, would you like ocean front or view if available all kinds of helpful information . This did not set a very good tone for a 2 day stay. We felt stuck or had. Confusing arrival with no or limited directions. Hotel was beautiful. Rooms were not as depicted in photos. Had to pay for parking . That was wrong just plain wrong. Everything was to commercial. I know money is everything? Right. There were many people there our age and most had a lost look about them. Interesting visit. Thank you.

The room was less than I expected. Attempting to get information on eating places outside the Taj was very hard. Assistance on the Casino floor was almost non-existent. For $402 per night I guess I expected maybe a bottle of water in the room. Directions from the self-park to the Lobby is poor and if you have more than one bag like we did it was very difficult to navigate down the narrow escalator to the restaurant floor and then to the lobby floor. Perhaps you could indicate to persons driving in that they first go to the lobby and then go back and park their car in the self parking.

The hotel appeared to be quite unfriendly. This property was very expensive compared to comparable or better casino and hotels in Las Vegas. Payment for valet parking as a hotel guest is unreasonable and not in keeping with all other casinos that I've visited domestically as well as internationally. The much tauted "Chairman's tower" was only compatible to average rooms in other casino/hotels that I've visited. The bathroom had only a shower without a bath tub. The casino staff is also very unfriendly. The rewards offerings are quite misleading and add lead little or no value to the visit. The food that we tried was of fair quality at the best. The neighborhood appeared to be very unsafe and looked blighted. The hotel and casino clientele appeared to be quite unsavory in terms of behavior as well as appearance. Overall, the experience was quite disappointing and if the remainder of Atlantic City is similar in nature than I am happy to say that this was my first and last trip there!

Made reservations through AtlanticCity.com and paid stay directly at hotel. Received credit card statement and got charged from both places - each with a different amount! Had no internet connections in room which could not be fixed. Had concern with breathing heavy smoke in air throughout casino even though they had designated smoking areas in casino.
