Check-in took 25 min. We were just a number in the row. No personal touch. The room was perfect and the view was awesome! It was our first visit in Atlantic City, and for that the hotel was great. The new Tower was a nice experience. Room was big and light, and no noise at night. The casino was big and we had our problems finding our way around. As a Travel-agent we will recommend the hotel, but not for more than 2 nights.

The room was a bit pricey for just a basic room.
The room was very clean.
The bathroom was basic, but also very clean.
We did get the king bed that we requested which was very nice.
The bed was comfortable, and the linens also very nice and good quality.
The restaurants that we ate in for both breakfast and dinner were very nice. The service and the food were very good.
Over all it was a nice stay and would stay again.

I spent a weekend here on September 17 and I didn't want to leave. Check-in and check-out was the easiest that I have ever experienced. My room was spacious, and I had the most comfortable bed I think that I have ever slept on, and I suffer from back pain but felt nothing while sleeping here. The casino floor was endless, and their staff was well informed and friendly. The hotel was huge but nothing was more than a five minute walk from the elevators. While in the casino I ended up winning from the slot machines, of which there seems to be an endless selection from. I got more than what I went on vacation with. I would definitely go back to the Taj Mahal without any hesitation.

We have stayed at this location many times in the past and have always enjoyed our stay, but on this visit we were surprised as to how the hotel had gone down hill.
The parking garage was always bright and clean but this time it was littered with garbage, which was never cleaned up during our stay.
There was always a 10 to 15 minute wait for the elevators as half of them were not working.
In general the over all appearance of the hotel has really gone down hill.

I have not had a vacation in 11 years. I used to go to Atlantic City all the time with my mom and we always stayed at the Taj Mahal. I decided that I wanted to stay there for my 55th birthday. I was happy to experience the same happiness that I did 11 years ago. The room was beautiful and they gave me the high floor I requested overlooking the ocean, which I was very grateful for. I definitely will not wait another 11 years before coming back to this beautiful hotel.
PS It was also very nice to learn that they still had my name in the system when I requested my Trump One card.

This was my second time staying at the hotel. The first stay was with my wife only for business and we enjoyed the meeting rooms and restaurants and the indoor pool. We enjoyed our time so much that we returned with our whole family this time. We had a great time the second time around too as did our two teenage daughters. The only drawback was that we would have liked a later check out time than 1:00 p.m. as we were unable to get to the hotel before 10:00 p.m. However, we'll definitely be back!

The service and room was amazing!!!! Check-in was fast, room service was Great!! and I felt all of the staff was extremely helpful. The beds were like sleeping on clouds and my boyfriend and I who can never get a good night sleep away from home were able to!! Our stay was more pleasant and relaxing then we thought I would be!!! We were so happy with our stay that we are already planning our next vacation with the Taj!!!!!!

The hotel was wonderful and the show was very entertaining. The negatives for those two areas were that, for so many elevators, they took too long to arrive. They were also crowded most of the time. Many people had to wait for one or two elevators before they were able to get on. Regarding the show, the seating arrangement should be improved. For the orchestra seats, they were too cramped together and if someone tall sat in front of you (which did happen), your viewing was extremely limited. We had to change seats with our children so that they could see a little better. The seats should be placed on an incline so everyone can see all areas of the stage and appreciate the wonderful shows. All in all, the hotel was very grand and a nice getaway for our anniversary.

The only thing that I was not satisfied with is that it took me almost 1 hour to finish check-in at the front desk when we arrived. Even if it was on Monday (7/26/2010) 4pm, there was a long line like 30 people. Otherwise it was perfectly good stay. Check out time was 11:30am next morning, just before the deadline (noon). Was good for us. I feel sorry for I lost one of the door keys on the beach but when I told it to the front desk, they asked nothing for it.

The hotel was a fine value for a first time visitor but too far away from the center of the boardwalk action. It was also at the less renovated end of the Boardwalk. I would stay at Caesars, Bally's, or the Tropicana next time. The pier shopping mall was excellent, and the Taj's Safari Steakhouse was an excellent value. The Taj Mahal service staff was also friendly and accommodating. The casino is spacious but a little smokey. The Indian restaurant was so far away from the rest of the hotel as to pass for hidden. We found it on the last say by accident.

Hotel was excellent with plenty of parking and elevators to get you where your going. The rooms was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel had a variety of non stop activity. There was always something to do. Never a dull moment. My wife and I even took in a show in the hotel arena. The show was excellent! There are a number of great restaurants in the hotel also, even a buffet. The food was very good. The casino on the main level was very spacious and clean. Had a great time. Would definitely book again.

The room we had was beautiful and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the view was incredible. My wife and children (ages 10 & 12) loved the pool. The security for the pool was greatly appreciated, not allowing just anyone to utilize the pool. The valet parking was very convenient and the employees working the valet desk were very helpful and pleasant. The line for check in was extremely long and the desk people kept leaving which made the time longer.

The service was terrible. There were long lines at every turn. We waited at check in at least an hour and about 45 mins at the restaurants.
We were not provide the room we requested. When asking the hotel staff, they were rude and abrupt and basically said tough luck.
Staff was unhelpful on multiple other occasions. We called about airport shuttles available and the first number provided did not even support Atlantic City let alone the hotel. We would not stay there again.

We live in Maryland and the car trip wasn't bad at all. It took us about the same amount to time as it would to Ocean City, MD. At check-in the young lady was very nice and took care of our reservations very quickly. The entire hotel was something to behold. I never saw anything out of order or messy. Our room in the Chairman Tower was so very comfortable. We will be back after summer is over. Thanks.
