The rooms at Showboat were very clean. Our room had a king-sized bed and the bathroom was also very roomy, not crowded like the other hotels. In fact, two of us could comfortably use the bathroom at the same time. We had a side room with a view of the ocean which again was very nice. In addition, the restaurants and casino were fabulous! We had a super lunch at the House of Blues! We'll be back soon again! Thank you!

Showboat is a very clean hotel/casino. Everyone is friendly and courteous. I would recommend someone to stay there. My husband and I stayed there and it was what we need to get the romance back in our most busy lives. The restaurants are very easy to find. They have a great variety of different foods. The casino employees where very helpful. The only problem we had was trying to get a drink, the cocktail waitress' didn't come around very often after six PM. WE did have a Great time.

We were very pleased with the size of the room. It was clean and smelled sanitary. The bed was so comfortable we slept better there then we did at home! The sheets were soft and the pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was large with his and her sinks. The shampoos, lotions, and soaps smelled wonderful. We had a fantastic view of the ocean. Being a coffee junkie in the morning, I can only say it was a dream come true to have great tasting coffee to wake up to.

My stay at the Showboat was a good one, but the room was very outdated. We stayed on the Orleans side of the hotel. Room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. Room curtains and bathroom shower curtain had bad water stains. Last day there water was brown had to let it run for a while. Hotel staff was very helpful. Their buffet was closed for most of December not good. Value wise stay was good for what we paid for.

We stayed there - just before hurricane Irene came in - for some days off, relaxing at the beach and pool. The location is very good for this purpose, only the Boardwalk separates the Hotel from the beach, but a little away from the main, crowded area, so that you can enjoy the Beach but you must not walk much to be in the "middle of the business!"

There are enough restaurants with a great variety of food, so we could enjoy our stay!

I have frequently stayed at the Showboat over the years and have never been disappointed until now. The room must have previously been rented to a person with pets because there was an infestation of fleas in the room. It was down hill from there. The next thing I noticed was that the toilet seat was broken,then I went to turn on the television and discovered it was not working properly, and then as I went to sit on the sofa I noticed it had a odor of cat pee. I was very disappointed especially from the Showboat.

At the time of my arrival on 07/27/11, my wife and I became frustrated after waiting for several hours on the check-in desk to be informed that our room was not ready and that we would be staying at a different hotel. This process took about 4 hours before we were settled in a different hotel. This was surprising to my wife and me because, we are accustomed to superior service from the show Boat Hotel Casino. Overall, I recommend the Show Boat for almost any occasion, beside this incident; the Show Boat Hotel is a great place to stay.

Nice rooms, great view of the ocean, easy access to the boardwalk. I really thought the casino was sub par, it was small, there were hardly any newer games and way too many poker machines. There were only a couple of tables and the back bar is only open on weekends. Restaurants were few. Service was fantastic everywhere in the hotel, casino, bar and gift shop. We stayed two nights and then went on a cruise, then came back and stayed at Harrah's, which was cheaper, just as nice of a hotel, but with much better casino and restaurants. Not as good of access to the boardwalk, however.

The Showboat gave me everything I wanted (a fun, well-priced getaway). The advantages of the Showboat over the other casinos is its other entertainment other than just gambling, such as the pool, House of Blues, and its location on the boardwalk. Also, their rooms are very nice, clean, and comfortable.
What I didn't like is, compared to other casinos, is the smoking area is located so close to other areas that even gambling on the other side, or even trying to get to the room, you are overwhelmed by clouds of smoke. If you have an allergy, or are trying to quit, then I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The Showboat hotel is a very clean and luxurious place to stay. Although it was a little difficult to find, but with some type of navigation you'll find it. Also the lighting in the room isn't really bright. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a family with children when it's cold out because there's simply nothing for them to do! But it would be really nice in the summer because it's right at the boardwalk and it does have a pool and it's right at the outlet stores. If u want to gamble, drink and have a laid back time this is a really nice hotel to stay at.

The hotel was great. Rooms very nice, staff friendly, food good. One problem was the confusion with how the total rewards card worked. We stood in a long line and were still confused as we couldn't get a pin # and stood in line again to find that we needed to use the card first then had to stand in line again to get a pin number to see how many credits we had. We were not the only confused customers as the machines were littered with other stating that the machines were not working, etc. Perhaps an instruction sheet or staff handy for answering questions would be better. The weekend was a pleasurable one. We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed the ease of valet parking. Service was awesome. Check in was a breeze. Totally enjoyed the room but would have loved a better view. My only disappointment was the linen. The pillows appeared to be feather which poked me the entire night and was very uncomfortable. I also had a pillowcase with holes in it. Enjoyed the casino even though the pay out wasn't good. Overall, the experience was awesome and we're looking forward to our next visit.

The room was average. Two lamps did not work, one did not have a light bulb in it. The furniture was really beat up. The nightstand had a cigarette burn in it. We did not get the "coupon book" as noted when we booked on Atlantic City.com and the Hotel did not know what we were talking about. Staff very pleasant. The staff at the table games were very attentive, always willing to explain the game. We will return just hope the room is a little better.

The hotel was fine, could have used better house keeping in the hotels hallway and elevator lobbies.The thermostat covers by the elevator had alot of dust on top of them.Everyone was nice and helpful. The room was clean,but the bathroom could have been cleaned better.Soap residue in the sink and tub and some dried brown stuff splattered on the bathroom door.The mirror also could have been wiped better. One very important thing was there were no bed bugs.

Room was Ok only negative no water pressure in the shower I would stay there again this time I would bring my own shower head to see if this increases water pressure. Check in was fine they upgraded our room to a suite for an additional charge they did offer non smoking rooms which was a plus I was surprised that people were smoking on the casino floor which you couldn't avoid which I didn't care for. My wife did like the hotel but she also didn't enjoy the smoking we had to walk thru to get access to our floor.
