This was my first time staying in Atlantic City. I've visited many times on day trips. We chose the Showboat because of the great price we received. It is also a great location to the beach. I loved that you could sit on the beach and hear the music from the House of Blues. The Mardi Gras parade/entertainment was fun. I also enjoyed the casino area because I was able to play the machines at night while watching the Phillies on the many TVs in the casino. I really enjoyed the trip.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. We chose the Showboat because of the price and also the beach area. You hear great music while relaxing on the beach. We also enjoyed the Mardi Gras parade at the hotel. It's always fun to get a bead or two. My family and I have stayed here several times for these reasons. I would recommend the Showboat to other travelers for these reasons. We hope to return again this year.

Everything was wonderful and I enjoyed myself.
The hotel wasn't far from the outdoor entertainment.I would have liked a direct view of the water.The view I had was ok but,not great.The casino was great even though I didn't win any money.I enjoyed the boardwalk and the cool waters coming off the ocean.When I was there it wasn't humid which was good. Hopefully I will be coming back before the summer is over.

It absolutely served its purpose. My friend and I went up for the night and had a great time. We used the room to get ready to go out and then came back in and crashed in the wee hours of the morning. Staff and service people were very friendly and got us in right away, considering it was a Thursday night and it wasn't very busy at all. The casino was nice, but a little run-down, however I had a great time and would go again if the price was right.

We stayed at the showboat and the location is not bad, the beach in front is not big and has too much dried up sea weed, if you go down further to the other side of the rides the beach is much cleaner. I was a bit disappointed in the room as it had this mildew smell as if the carpet was never cleaned,it also has this must smoking smell to it even though i am a smoker this smell just didn't sit well with me. I had to have the cleaning lady spray several times.

The room itself was actually nice and and I enjoyed the view other then the smell I did enjoy my stay.

Told the check-in clerk we had requested high floor overlooking ocean. He said the highest they had was tenth floor. We got to the room our view was a large building under construction with dumpsters and cranes.We called desk and told them we wanted ocean view, was informed that was the only room they had. First night, couple next door argued and yelled all night. Second night, children running up and down the hall yelling. Buffet was great!

This was a wedding anniversary get away. Unfortunately the anniversary fell on a Tuesday this year. Unless you gamble, Atlantic City is virtually dead until Thursday night. We did enjoy the Atlantic City museum on the Boardwalk near the ShowBoat Hotel and Casino. The ShowBoat is affiliated with the Harrah's property, so there was casino to casino transportation for all Harrah's affiliated resorts. The restaurants are all quite pricey. The best food deal in town is the Irish Pub located on St James just off the Boardwalk.

We stayed here because it looked fun, was in a great location, and had a price that was extremely reasonable. I liked the idea of a cute theme for our Atlantic City extended weekend, and the Showboat is very stylized, glitzy, and a little kitsch. The rooms themselves though are lovely and not theme-y at all. I loved the layout and appointments in the room, from the very comfortable bed, the nice view [even in the standard room we had], the mini-fridge, and such, to the absolutely amazing deep-soaking tub and tiled entry and bath. The only complaint I had was the lack of attention to detail in cleaning, but that could have been just our bad luck.

I chose this hotel for the great price, and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The king size bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent - the room was spotless, we had a 2 night stay. We used a pool it was not the largest but good location - plenty of towels and I actually liked the fact it was not deeper than 4 feet. The pool was not crowded the day we were there so it was very enjoyable. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been to go home winners - yes we enjoy gambling & though we lost we had a lot of fun.

I found the stay for the most point enjoyable.The only negative
thing I can say is, the pillows were not to good. They really didn't support my head. The room was clean as was the rest of the casino.The beds were kind of hard.I found the casino really
supports it's club members. kind of ignoring the common people.I found the housekeeping staff did a very good job of cleaning the rooms. they were quite willing to give you extra towels or other things if you need it.

This hotel/casino was very nice. I went with my friend to see a concert at the House of Blues which was right in the hotel, and we enjoyed the concert along with every minute of our stay. We are not much for gambling, although we did a little bit. The staff was extremely friendly to us. The only thing we found to be a problem was that at the front desk, they never told us to carry our room slip with us, so we ended up paying for parking, and found out later (when the price increased to $15) that all we needed was our room slip. Other than that, we had a great time and would def. recommend this to a wide variety of people.

We enjoyed our stay. We saw a concert at the House of Blues and staying at the hotel made things very convenient. We had a nice dinner at the House of Blues restaurant and after the concert were able to go to the casino without any hassle or traveling. We liked that the hotel was right on the boardwalk as we were able to take a great walk and spend some time on the beach. We also were appreciative to the easy and convenient parking.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I felt right at home and the front desk put me in a good mood right from the start. She was friendly, and enjoyable to talk with. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I found it very easy to get to my room even after a long day of business classes in the nearby Taj Mahal. I liked the idea that I could stop at the bar right outside the elevators to have a night cap. Perfect spot for that bar. Overall it was a great experience.

I enjoyed this hotel very much I found the staff and restaurant workers exceptionally friendly and accommodating. HOWEVER, I did not have my own membership card and asked the hotel if they might comp me a breakfast or dinner since I was staying at their hotel for 2 days and they wouldn't even comp me for a breakfast. Some other hotels INCLUDE breakfast with their stay. I was disappointed in that. I ate at a lovely restaurant and it cost a pretty penny. I would definitely return tho showboat but must admit, I will FIRST check out another hotel for some free extras that they include automatically. Everything else was wonderful..Thank You

My husband and I stayed at the Showboat hotel and our room was beautiful and clean. We gambled in the casino and had a great time. When we got to our room around 4 am, the neighbors were very noisy. We dealt with the noise for 2 hours until we couldn't take it anymore and the noise escalated into slamming doors and flushing toilets, screaming, cursing and plumes of smoke coming through the walls. By 7am we had enough. I called security and they came up, but started to walk away until my husband pointed out which neighbor it was. Security knocked, but did not make them open the door, just said through the door to "keep it down". Highly disappointed, my husband and I decided to leave but wanted breakfast first and ordered room service. Well, the pancakes were so undercooked they tasted bitter, the french toast was rubbery and the coffee tasted old and burned. WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ON OUR ANNIVERSARY!! I usually stay at the Tropicana and have never had an experience like this. We heard good things about Showboat and gave it a try. NEVER AGAIN! For the $280 we spent on the room, plus $60 in room service, I'll stay home!
