The Showboat Hotel was exciting and fun! The Showboat staff was very courteous and well spoken. The Showboat casino was clean and offered all of the newest slots that were usually open for everyone to try. The nightlife was great and the music, bars and food choices were above average. Beach access was extremely convenient. We were very satisfied with our Showboat vacation and would stay there in the future too. The next time we visit we will be with the kids as well and there is plenty for the entire family to do in Atlantic City!

Our room was very clean with a lovely view,everyone was very helpful. It was a lovely holiday !! hoping to go again.My only complaint was that we did book a premium room
and at check in they gave us a standard room.
A quick call to the front desk and they quickly changed our rooms,with a smile.This was our second time to Atlantic City, our first time we stayed at the Tropicana. The Tropicana has shopping where the Showboat does not have.

Nice rooms, great view of the ocean, easy access to the boardwalk. I really thought the casino was sub par, it was small, there were hardly any newer games and way too many poker machines. There were only a couple of tables and the back bar is only open on weekends. Restaurants were few. Service was fantastic everywhere in the hotel, casino, bar and gift shop. We stayed two nights and then went on a cruise, then came back and stayed at Harrah's, which was cheaper, just as nice of a hotel, but with much better casino and restaurants. Not as good of access to the boardwalk, however.

Had a nice stay. We stayed two nights, Wednesday- Friday. Our package included two free passes to the buffet. So we only had to pay for food one night. If I could stay once a month for a nice reasonable price I would. We used this a our romantic getaway. Looking forward to going back in August. Hopefully they will have nice special again then. We never made it to the casino or the beach. Hopefully in August we will be able to take advantage of both the beach and casino.

This hotel is nice. However, the furniture in the rooms had stains along with the carpet. Everything else in the room seemed to be clean. Our tub was clogged but it was not a major issue. The pool is small. The pool does not have enough room to accommodate adults and children. The pool is from 2 to 4 feet only. One plus is that our room came with a free buffet dinner. Great deal! It is also close to the quiet side of the beach.

I had a issue with the additional buffet that I purchased. I got hung up in traffic and I arrived after 9p.m and the hotel told me the buffet was closed and the agent who checked me in and her boss refused to try to help me. I found this very rude especially since we were talking about a matter of $10.00. I found this very penny wise and dollar foolish. I checked into the hotel and went elsewhere to gamble.

The Showboat gave me everything I wanted (a fun, well-priced getaway). The advantages of the Showboat over the other casinos is its other entertainment other than just gambling, such as the pool, House of Blues, and its location on the boardwalk. Also, their rooms are very nice, clean, and comfortable.
What I didn't like is, compared to other casinos, is the smoking area is located so close to other areas that even gambling on the other side, or even trying to get to the room, you are overwhelmed by clouds of smoke. If you have an allergy, or are trying to quit, then I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The rooms at the hotel was pretty run down. I asked for a non-smoking room but the room smelled like smoke. The dressers were badly run down and also missing a drawer. The TV's were ancient in a age where HDTV and Flat screens do not cost much. The bathroom also had it's issues. The tub filled with water and I could not get enough hot water.The room did not feel cleaned! I will not come back.

I had the time of my life. I stayed there more then one time about three . Yes I will be back as soon as I can. Keep up the good work! I won the first day that we got there on 02/24/2011 it was my birthday was one of the best days in my life. I came home and told everyone about Show Boat and they all said that they would love to come. We are planning a family get together some time in or around Sept. 2011 hope it will be there I am trying to get everybody together about it now.

Stayed here twice before for the casino parade. A bellhop told us they no longer had the parade. We were VERY disappointed. To us, that's what separated Showboat from every other hotel/casino. The location is good for the amusement park.

The check-in line was hectic - as it always is. The check-out line was even worse. I stood on that line for 1 hour and then when I reached the counter, the woman told me there was a different (shorter) line for check-out. Another man working there said it wasn't my fault - he had just changed the check-in/out sign!

The armoire was crusty - wood was chipping all over. That turned me off on the interior of the room.

The internet connection wasn't free. It was raining out or misty most of the time we were there, but we had an ocean view that was great. The walk from the elevator was pretty far and also to the ice machine. The toilet handle(inside) hit the top of the toilet every time you flushed it. Apparently its an on going problem because it woke us up when our neighbors flushed at night. The cost of the Hotel room was minimal and that was a great perk.

We stayed at our hotel to gamble and they had lots of machines to choose from. Everyone was very nice and helped us with anything we ask of them.

From the moment of our arrival we were greeted with pleasant, helpful, courteous staff. The check-in was expedited with little bother and much concern for our satisfaction. Everywhere we went - hotel desk, casinos, room service, etc. people were pleasant, very helpful, and courteous, and always smiling.
Showboat is a "showboat' of relaxation and fun. We highly recommend this hotel for its "smooth sailing", totally relaxing atmosphere for all who want pure enjoyment. When it came time to check-out, we left with a sense of having experienced just what we had hoped - a visit filled with relaxation and fun!

I thought the hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and professional. The casino has a lot to offer but was a little too bright for my liking. There was a nice variety of restaurants but they weren't all open every evening which was a little inconvenient. I thought room service was great, it was available 24 hours, they were prompt and the portions were very generous. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to friends.

The Showboat hotel is a very clean and luxurious place to stay. Although it was a little difficult to find, but with some type of navigation you'll find it. Also the lighting in the room isn't really bright. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a family with children when it's cold out because there's simply nothing for them to do! But it would be really nice in the summer because it's right at the boardwalk and it does have a pool and it's right at the outlet stores. If u want to gamble, drink and have a laid back time this is a really nice hotel to stay at.

The hotel was great. Rooms very nice, staff friendly, food good. One problem was the confusion with how the total rewards card worked. We stood in a long line and were still confused as we couldn't get a pin # and stood in line again to find that we needed to use the card first then had to stand in line again to get a pin number to see how many credits we had. We were not the only confused customers as the machines were littered with other stating that the machines were not working, etc. Perhaps an instruction sheet or staff handy for answering questions would be better. Thanks for a great deal and good service as well.
