We had to wait almost an hour to check in. Then we went to the room to find out we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our luggage to be delivered. We decided to go and get our luggage ourselves.

At breakfast the next morning, the buffet was closed and there was one restaurant on the second floor opened. We had a 45 minute wait there as well. We decided NOT to wait and went down to a smaller restaurant on the first floor. The service was SO SLOW. We waited about 30 minutes and got out of line there too. Others were also complaining around us. We had faster service in Las Vegas. It was very annoying. It was not the amount of guests there, but the service we did not like. The first restaurant we went to had plenty of tables but no staff to wait on us and therefore the wait was long. I did not go on a getaway to wait in lines. This was not an enjoyable trip.

We were very pleased with the size of the room. It was clean and smelled sanitary. The bed was so comfortable we slept better there then we did at home! The sheets were soft and the pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was large with his and her sinks. The shampoos, lotions, and soaps smelled wonderful. We had a fantastic view of the ocean. Being a coffee junkie in the morning, I can only say it was a dream come true to have great tasting coffee to wake up to.

Showboat is a very clean hotel/casino. Everyone is friendly and courteous. I would recommend someone to stay there. My husband and I stayed there and it was what we need to get the romance back in our most busy lives. The restaurants are very easy to find. They have a great variety of different foods. The casino employees where very helpful. The only problem we had was trying to get a drink, the cocktail waitress' didn't come around very often after six PM. WE did have a Great time.

The rooms at Showboat were very clean. Our room had a king-sized bed and the bathroom was also very roomy, not crowded like the other hotels. In fact, two of us could comfortably use the bathroom at the same time. We had a side room with a view of the ocean which again was very nice. In addition, the restaurants and casino were fabulous! We had a super lunch at the House of Blues! We'll be back soon again! Thank you!

Comfortable beds, excellent value, and the key for us is it was at the end of the Boardwalk. The Showboat casino which is set to a New Orleans style background is a great blend of comfort and excitement. With bands playing in the lobby, action jumping on the casino floor, and of course with the House of Blues on the premises, this is an ideal place for people looking to relax as well as those who are looking to take in a show.

The end of the Boardwalk position makes it ideal for those who don't want to get caught up in all of the Boardwalk walker traffic. If you are looking to gamble, might I suggest before 11am and then after 9pm. These are when the day trip buses are not at their destinations yet or have left Atlantic City respectively.

I will return to Showboat, you can BET on that!

When we arrived there was a lot of activity happening. People coming and going, sounds of the slots,people having a good time. We were not exactly sure were we were to go but the signs showed the way and soon we found the hotel check in area. After a very short wait on line, we were checked in to our room. They asked if the could take our bags, but we just had one small suitcase with us so we took it ourselves.The key worked,the room was clean and ready for us to begin our special time together and what a time we had. Thank you

I would love to stay here again. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Room service was very pleasant and helpful to me for a few reasons. I am in my 70's and needed some extra things. I wish I knew the girl's name she was so kind. The casino I love. I just play the slots. But there are so many to choose from and I love some of the new ones. I would tell anyone to stay at Showboat.

The rooms were very nice and well kept. The pillows were very uncomfortable. I had two rooms and I requested to have them together and they weren't. Also I needed a cot and the hotel ran out. I found the woman who worked in Guest Relations to be very rude when I informed her about the problem. I felt I was not respected because I didn't have a platinum playing card. If I am going to pay $400 a night to say in a hotel, I expect to be accommodated.

Good spacious bathrooms!!
Comfortable rooms and plenty of ammenities.
The convenience to the boardwalk is a plus and the shopping was available. I was there on businees - so I did not get to take advantage of some of the things the hotel offered, but would in future. The Parking was easy to get in and out as well as the check in and check out. The one draw back was Internet access. This should be a free service. All the employees were extremely pleasant. The security folks, check in staff, Casino dealers - everyone had a welcoming smile and a positive attitude. Very Nice!!

This was a lovely place to stay. The room looked out over the ocean and was very clean. The room had nice features like a large screen TV and internet access. The safe and the small fridge were hidden appropriately but easily accessible. The valet service was exceptional and when I had forgotten a small item in my car, staff retrieved the item instead of making me collect the car and have to park it again. Housekeeping was friendly and seemed eager to please. Overall a lovely visit and had I not been required to leave to get back to work, I would have likely tried to keep the room for another day or two. Thanks Showboat!

I didn't see a pool, so I can't comment on that but I do want to say when we arrived to our hotel room we didn't have an Iron, only 2 hangers, or pillows but I called housekeeping and they came to the room in minutes, that was nice.
I don't think that a hotel with casinos should have children under 18.
The people working at the showboat were great!

I actually didn't have many problems with hotel, I had a slight problem with Atlantic city.com, they put a hold on my credit card for the same amount of the hotel stay, they didn't inform me that they were going to do this, I found out when I tried to purchase something the day I was leaving, so of course I couldn't go shopping like I wanted to. It was rectified a couple days after I came home.

My boyfriend and I both enjoyed the time we spent at this hotel. I especially liked the Mardi Gras theme. Sadly we did not gamble but from going back and forth the casinos, I couldn't help but notice that here are alot of different variety of games and a vast number of slot machine. Since the hotel was close to the boardwalk, this made it easy for us to get around. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an out of the ordinary experience.

My husband and I had a great experience at the Showboat. We went to Atlantic City for a friends birthday and the Showboat was one of the least expensive hotels for that weekend. It worked out perfect because all of the other couples going down for the party were able to stay at the same hotel. We had an easy time checking in to the hotel and the room was very clean. This was our first time staying at the Showboat and we would absolutely stay there again.

Honestly, I really didn't expect the room to be that nice. The room was spacious and really clean. The staff was nice and the location of the hotel was excellent for those who would enjoy the carnival and beach.The bathroom was a nice size. The bed had a comfortable pillow top that reminds you that you are on leisure time.Me and my boyfriend were comfortable and pleased.I would stay at Showboat when I return to Atlantic City.

We really enjoyed our visit from the moment we arrived. Even during check in entertainment was provided to keep us occupied due to the high number of arrivals. The Hotel had a variety of activities ranging from entertainment to gambling to simply being able to relax in your room. Shopping was also available which added to the experience. There was little to no need to even leave the premises. The service was fantastic as well as the ovrall atmosphere. The ideal place to plan as a vacation stop.
