The House of Blues has great food and entertainment. The casino is great with alot of fun slots and the tables are priced right. The canal street sandwich shop is priced right and the breakfast was hot and fast. Room service has a good selection with many priced just right and was served hot and on time. The room we had was in the Orleans tower and was large and well appointed. The one issue I had was the lack of restaurants being open. The Chophouse, Italian and buffet were not available while I was there this was a great disappointment. They need to add one or two buses to their shuttle service to cut down on the wait time

The front desk could not find my reservation and were not very accommodating when asked to change our room. We had requested a NON SMOKING room and the room smelled smoky! The room was not clean and did not have cups in the bathroom 2 out of 3 days.
The location of the hotel is at the end of the boardwalk and far from everything worth walking to. Our room faced the parking garage and we paid over $250. per night.

I was upset about how I called the operator and asked where the gym was and she said it was closed for renovations and when my husband was walking on the second floor we saw the gym and decided to see if we can peek inside and people were working out, and there was no construction anywhere. Then we tried getting internet from the tv with the wireless keyboard they provide and they said we shouldn't use it if we were going to use the internet and put any passwords on. The keyboard didn't work at all and the advertising said it was good for email. And the connection was super slow, we had to use the remote to navigate so we had it canceled right away. Last, there was no spa so we could get a massage. Other than that, the price was right and thank god it was close to other attractions and hotels.

I thought for a older hotel it was very clean and the service was great. We would stay again.The only thing I did not care for was the pool I thought it would be a little bigger than what it was. The restaurants were very good and the people all very friendly. I think that we will try to make it back next year. We would like to try and make it out to the beach so we would stay a little longer. Very nice time.

Everything was very good and I enjoyed my stay at the Showboat. I was just annoyed at check out when I was told I needed to pay for the second days stay. I had pre payed for my entire(two day) stay and they had no clue. Now, I'm in the process of making phone calls and waiting to talk to supervisors who are very busy, in order to get compensated for their mistake.That's a hassle!

It is extremely upsetting that I booked my room for 2 beds and got there to be told that I only got one. It wasn't as if I was there with a significant other. I was there with an associate. We were not about to share a room! Not to mention that I checked in at 7:30pm and it still wasn't ready or cleaned! I paid almost $600 for two nights and both were spent on a cot! I proceeded to the front desk and they gave me a fit about my unhappiness. It was as if they didn't care. I will not be back to the Showboat.

The Showboat was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The room was clean. The service was great. The people were very nice. I enjoyed myself and would do it again in a heart beat. It was perfect for a getaway for my boyfriend and I. We couldn't of picked a better hotel. The set up of the room was perfect. I would definitely tell all my friends and family about the showboat. Thank you and keep up the good work!

The directions that you sent me are incorrect. They have you making a left instead of right which in turn takes you down a dead end road in the middle of the drug dealing projects. I mentioned it at the desk but I want to make sure you are aware. A young girl or a group of college kids may have a real issue with going the wrong way.Over all our stay at the hotel was good and the show was very interesting.

Because of the new construction right next door, I don't think my room should have been described as Ocean View. For that reason, I think it was overpriced and not a good value. My other complaint was that none of the guest services personnel, or at the House of Blues ticket window, seemed to know anything about the events or entertainment at the hotel, let alone surrounding areas. One had never heard of a particular show and another told us (just hours before it in fact started) that it had been the prior weekend. Otherwise very nice.

We had a great time. It has been over 25 years since we were in Atlantic City, New Jersey. So many more hotels and casinos. It was fun to walk along the boardwalk and look at all the shops. Enjoyed the chair ride, everyone should take a ride. We visited in September. A great time to go, no crowds. Plenty of space to walk on the boardwalk and beach. Visited Lucy the Elephant and lighthouse. House of Blues had great food.

I had a wonderful time for the 2 days I spent at the Showboat. My spouse had a good time at the enjoying the food at the restaurants. We also enjoyed the courteous service of the room service staff. The rooms were clean and the staff was extremely friendly. We did some shopping in the area and found the local flavor in the vicinity of the hotels quite enjoyable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning in the near future.

The hotel was OK but I did have issues with the furniture in the room. Some seats at the table in the room had stains on them and also the wallpaper was coming off of the wall near the window. A little disappointed at the view that we had as it looked over the construction site. I don't believe that the hotel was very full and I think that we could have been given a different room facing the boardwalk. In any event the price was great for the stay.

Some friends and I were here for the OAR concert at House of Blues. I thought the hotel had a great selection of restaurants and variety of food choices. The entertainment began right when we arrived -- there was a Mardi Gras parade by the check in desk. And later there was music by the escalators. The staff was always pleasant and quick to assist with any questions. I liked that checkout was not until noon--it gave us a chance to sleep in and not feel rushed in the morning. We could actually enjoy breakfast and some casino time before leaving for home. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

It is is a great location to get around the city and very easy to find and very easy to exit the city. The taxi service was greatly appreciative to get around the city.
The dining facility and lounges was easy to access. The food at the buffet and the restaurant was extremely good. Great hotel

It took us over 1 hour to be checked in. The young man registering folks kept leaving the check-in counter and going into a room for 10 minutes without explanation.

The next morning, went to Casino to play blackjack. The few tables running were full. Waited over an hour for additional blackjack tables to open. Many others were waiting too. Doesn't seem to be good business practice for a Casino!

The sandwich restaurant was poorly run, with several items on the menu not available. Servers were very unfriendly - acted disgusted when we asked a question.

We were told that there were alot of layoffs and the employees (in casino and restaurants) were disgruntled. I anticipate that there will be more layoffs because when you treat customers like we were treated, they don't come back.
