Hotel was pleasant. Not very exciting unfortunately but my time of leisure was during off peak hours and winter break. The casino was nice, not the nicest I've been to but nice nonetheless. It could use a renovation though as some of the table games and machines seemed out-dated. The staff was friendly and room was clean. Price was good too. I did win at the other casinos on the boardwalk but lost at the one here though! >=O but hey, that's the game.

We had a nice time. I thought our room could have been a little more modern,but it was clean. My husband and I would definitely stay here again. It would be nice if the hotel had an indoor pool for people staying in the winter. We loved the bathroom, because it was very clean, which is the first thing I look for when staying at a hotel. The bed was also very comfortable. Again we had a nice time and would love to return.

First impression,No porters to help with luggage. We check in to find that the Buffet is closed all day on Thursdays.You help (not front desk) such as cashiers would chat would other workers while we waited. Also I fought...I do mean fought with someone about needing add'l pillows.
His name was Anthony, a supervisor, and I explained I had a condition that I needed extra and he wouldn't send up....finally he did.
Rude and unaccommodating.

Wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were more than friendly. The room was cozy and spacious. The location is great. I am looking forward to my next stay. This hotel is fun for kids with the Mardi Gras theme, but remember that it is a casino. The people were mostly older than myself. Earlier in the day, the casino was packed and swarming with senior citizens, but most of them were gone by 10pm. This was only a problem to me because it was harder to get a slot to play on. I always enjoy coming to this hotel as do my kids. I have been coming here since I was a little girl with my grandmother. I enjoy seeing the excitement in my kids that I felt as a child and still feel today when we go to the Showboat!

I enjoyed the room I stayed in. It was very roomy. And the service is was very good. We, my husband and I came to Atlantic City as a spur of the moment trip, and we had a wonderful stay. It was very easy for us to book the room online,and it was not very expensive. I loved the fact that the room had a hair dryer and coffee maker included as I forgot to bring my hair dryer with me. I would stay at the Showboat again.

The hotel is fine. My niece and I decided to get away for a few days and the price offered at Showboat was terrific. It was mid week in the off season so there wasn't much going on in the way of entertainment, but we were aware that this would be the case so we were prepared to entertain ourselves. The Staff is lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. There were sufficient places to get something decent to eat and plenty of slots, which I enjoy.My only complaint is that although there is internet available the price per night is a bit high so we opted not to take the internet.
The hotel is located at the end of the boardwalk. We love walking the boardwalk, especially on a beautiful day.It is easy to get to many of the other hotels this way. There are free buses available to go to the other hotels connected with Showboat. If you want a taxi, that's no problem. We took full advantage of our location by shopping at the outlets and eating in wonderful restaurants.
Originally we made reservations for two nights, but decided to leave a day earlier and stay a day longer. I found AtlanticCity.com to be very accommodating and helpful. We had a great time.

The rooms were very nice, 2 queen beds that were very comfortable. However, we had 4 in our room and did not have enough towels. Also our hair dryer did not work. After contacting house keeping they did bring us both a new hair dryer and more towels...about 1/2 hour later.
Other than that, the rooms were fine.
We also were hoping that there was a discreet route to get from the rooms to the beach. We had to walk through the casino to get to the beach which was a bit uncomfortable.

Instead of rewriting my experience. I will post the letter I sent to hotel management.
Letter reads:Dear Sir or Madam,
I regret having to write to you about an unpleasant experience I've had with your company. I prefer to contact a company only in praise of an employee or the company's actions. Unfortunately, my situation is such that it is necessary for me to forward a complaint to you.
My husband and I stayed at the Showboat Atlantic City on the evening of May 21, 2010 and checked out on May 22, 2010. We were looking to spend a night away from home and celebrate my husband's birthday. After a night in the casino and nightclub, we returned to our room shortly before 2 A.M. This is where the nightmare began. Upon entering the room, we smelled a distinct marijuana scent coming from the adjoining room. As I began to place a towel under the door to keep the plumes of smoke out of our room, I was overcome by the smoke. My husband called down to the front desk and after numerous transfers, security was finally going to be sent up to our room. I became so sick that I was confined to the bathroom until help arrived. Once security entered our room, they asked my husband whether WE had someone else in the room (suggesting that person smoked the marijuana). After he explained that we were alone, I emerged from the bathroom and was taken down to the nurse, with difficulty breathing and coughing. My husband was worried and afraid for me. He called down to the front desk again and reached Justin, the manager on duty. Annoyed with my husband's call, Justin told him, "If you stop calling, maybe I can get something done." This is unsatisfactory behavior from a representative of your company.
While being seen by the nurse, I was presented with a key to a new room. I hardly felt this was compensation for what we went through. Our night was completely ruined. Not only was our night ruined, my livelihood may be affected. I am scheduled to take a drug test on May 25, 2010, after nearly two years of unemployment. I am now faced with bearing the weight of the possibility I may test positive because the Showboat fosters an environment where marijuana non-smoking in rooms is customary. As for the guests in the next room, Security attempted to knock on the door of the smoke filled room, but no one answered. I find it completely unfair to us that we were not the one's doing anything illegal, yet the true perpetrators could simply choose not to answer the door and continue to enjoy their night. Why were the police not involved? Its sad The Showboat accepts this sort of behavior from your guests as status quo.
My husband and I have spoken with Justin the night manager, and Scott Duberson, the Hotel Operations Supervisor and have gotten nowhere. Scott offered us a twenty five dollar food voucher. I find this laughable considering I was exposed to toxic smoke and the room cost us over two hundred dollars for the night. It is nice to know that my health and livelihood have been valued so low. I believe anything less than a full refund is unacceptable.
UPDATE: Hotel management called my husband and claimed we'd receive a refund. Needless to say that has NEVER happened.. DO NOT STAY HERE... The security and nurse acted as if marijuana smoking is happens on a regular basis and they do nothing about it.

I came to Showboat 8 years ago with my father.I never been before in Atlantic City. My father was very happy to see so beautiful place.Inside Showboat very beautiful, very nice pictures. Last time I came with my wife. She was very satisfied with hotel and grade A services. We play a lot with one penny machine and we like it, because we can change from penny to 20 cent,to 90 cent. My wife was very exciting with games. Thank you very much!

Super hotel for a night out . Our room was so fantastic.The size of the room was surprising. It had two tiers and two bathrooms. The room style was very exciting and beautiful. You will feel special in this suite. The house of blues suite is not to be believed. It is suited for famous and regular people. We didn't want to leave our room, so we got room service for breakfast. The checkout time was 11:30 enough time to enjoy the am in this cool room.

We came to visit our good friend who was on leave for a view days before he went overseas- he couldn't have been more surprised, it was perfect. The rooms were great, and check-in went smoothly- the front desk was very knowledgeable when we asked them for recommendations when we went out that night. Express checkout was great as well. Loved that the hotel was on the boardwalk, and the casino was a blast. The Starbucks attached was a bonus as well.

Bourbon Tower was nice with a great view of the waves. No exit fan in the bathroom. Air conditioning reset itself every other hour back to its default temp. No one explained the comp points credit card until after we had been there 2 days and already checked out. Poor customer service at check in. Very colorful and loud at times. Being at the end of the boardwalk was hard because we had to walk a half mile to get to anything. Kept me in shape!
