This Hotel is nothing fancy. It was close to the casinos and reasonable enough for an overnight stay. We had a girl weekend and it was enough room for the three of us. It was clean too. It just needed a little TLC. The price was right. We didn't spend time in the room. We just slept there. If you are looking for a hotel to just sleep at, this is the one. Save your money for the slots and win lots of money!!

Cheap rates very close to beach it was a nice change from the big casino hotels that i usaly stey at when i come to atlant city to visit the beach I also thought the free parking was a big plus most hotels charge you to park in the atlantic city area. I would recomend this hotel to couples I was dissapointed the pool was not usable because i like to go smimming i the pool when i'm on vacation but they are remodeling the pool so next time i will be able to go smimming.

I tried this hotel because a family friend said it was less expensive... well I will never go that way again... I would rather pay extra then expierence again. I do and did enjoy being in Atlantic City because its exciting... but when you are tired and want to feel safe and comfortable in your hotel room maybe the cost is not that important. I would suggest a full renovation for this Howard Johnsons... it's located in a nice spot off of the boardwalk and should be kept up to reflect the city's reputation. I would not refer this hotel to anyone until I see improvements...

The service was good. The employees friendly, polite and helpful. The only thing we did not like was the fact that we had access to the garage, but we had to come from the Holiday Inn and walk in the cold to get into the hotel. In the summer this is not a problem but in the winter it is, especially when they lock the back door after 11:00pm. We can not rate on business or internet access because we did not come for those purposes, therefore we did not look for those amenities. We did like however, there was an iron and ironing board in the room.

The hotel was perfect for my needs. Everyone was very polite and nice. I would definatly stay here again in the future. It is right near the boardwalk, across the street from the Tropicana Casino. If you are going to Atlanic City with some friends and want a cheap, nice place to stay after some partying the Howard Johnson is the perfect place. They also have a parking garage with free parking, as well as free valet parking. The room was clean and comfortable, I did not have any complaints or problems with this hotel. I will also recommend it my friends if they are traveling to Atlantic City.

This hotel is seriously outdated! I was born in the 70s and I recognized the color of the bathroom from one of my baby pictures. The bed was very comfy. The walk to the parking garage was annoying. The hotel should provide a walkway into the hotel like the neighboring hotel offers. There was always a wait for parking. If you have an S.U.V. spaces are really limited. The location of the hotel is great. Right on the boardwalk. The price was extremely affordable especially for Atlantic City. The hotel needs to be remodeled and updated. The elevators are also shaky, making you feel extremely uneasy. It was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is great.

On February 3, 2007 I spent the night at this hotel. All through the night there were a lot of running,laughing, slamming of doors going on. I really did not get any sleep. There need to be improvements in that area. This is my second time staying at this hotel. The first time was much better. I noticed that there were some younger people this time, so maybe that could be one of the reason. Management need to inform all guests that they have to keep the noise down. Not because they might not be sleepy but other guests need their sleep.

This hotel was ok for someone on the go. I would not stay there again. It may have been clean but you could not tell because of the quality of the room. The carpet looked filthy. The bathroom could have been a little better quality as well. Also, cold showers were taken everyday. There is absolutely no water control whatsoever. It was great that it was just a block down from the Tropicana, but there was no view. We were staring at other peoples rooms. For it to be right at the boardwalk you had no view, we didn't even have a view of the beach.

i had several problems with my stay no hot water at all at night toilet kept flushing when i reserved the room it was advertised a placed to eat which was closed on both days had a blackout the following morning no one could explain why when i asked a housecleanig person on my floor what the problem was all she would say was i dont know she also didnt really speak english which was a little bit of the problem i think not really sure if i would stay here again i also requested a non smoking room which i did not get either

The room was great...but the walls were paper thin...we heard everything outside, inside, in the halls, the maids talking, the doors closing etc. As we were leaving, others were saying the same thing. No matter how nice the room is, if you can't sleep, it's not a place to stay. Again, the room was nice, the sheets were high quality, the service good, the location ok. The parking was a problem because you had to walk so far from the garage to the motel. The price was really reasonable, but you have to sleep sometime, so we won't be staying in the Howard Johnson's again.

Hotel is a little old and could use some rennovations, but overall the hotel was ok. The check-in process was easy and stress free. I just wish that we didn't have to park in the hotel next door, because coming in from the parking lot, we walked to the lobby and took the elevator to our floor, without realizing that we were in the wrong hotel. So there should be better parking arrangements as far as I'm concerned, but that's about it. The room was what we requested and it was clean. I loved the fact that it was very inexpensive for being so close to the Boardwalk and to my favourite hotel on the strip: The Tropicana!

I would first like to say that I enjoyed my stay at Howard Johnson. The location of the hotel was convinient to the casinos and boardwalk.. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed that it also had a balcony..not a good view, but it was good enough just to catch some air.. ZCustomer service was great and very helpful. I woould recommend this hotel to other and I myself would definitely stay at Howard Johnson for my next visit. I stayed at the Best Western Hotel in Atlantic City. The reason we chose this hotel was because we decided very last minute take a weekend trip. We have stayed at the Tropicana numerous times and have really loved that Hotel. Since we waited to long to book our trip, the prices for the weekend were rather high. Therefore we decided to look for a hotel close enough to walk back to the Trop. The Best Western provided exactly that. The rooms were decent, the price was just right, the staff was friendly and knowledgable and willing to suggest many activities for us to participate in outside of the hotels. All in all I think this hotel worked out fantastically! You get what you pay for, Ok rooms, little atmosphere, no casino, but a close walk, and a good price!

First off, I have to say the service was great. The front desk was friendly and very helpful. The location was good as well. It is right in the mix of things, not too far from all the action. The hotel was clean and definately affordable. It is perfect for a cost efficient trip to Atlantic City. Though not one of the huge, "luxery" casino hotels it definately serves it's purpose as respite between celebrating the many attractions of AC.

The hotel is not a good value. The air conditioner (heater) was not working correctly. I should open my window every day because always was hot, even turned off. I reported that problem, but no body fixed it. Also one day no body clean my room. At my second day I tried to make telephone calls but my telephone line was blocked; I asked to the front desk and they asked me again my credit cards information, due that they have lost the information, at the third day it happened the same. The hotel has a good location and good internet conection, but is too expensive due the bad service and bad conditions of the hotel; it looks old, dirty, carpets and ceiling blemished. Sorry for my bad English.
