RESERVE

The hotel looks nice in the outside and when you first come in, the lobby is nice and clean. The room was a problem though, it had a very bad smell to it, it wasn't so clean and the blankets had a terrible smell, we couldn't even use them. I would not recommend this hotel, even if it's close to AC and their rates are 'decent'. I rather pay a bit more and stay at a different hotel.

There was a whole bunch of junkies there for a narcotics convention, it was a bad choice. I had no idea that there was junkies there. If i had known that there were people there for a narcotics thing I would not have booked it. There were people somking pot and talking about there great 36 days being sober. I was shocked by this whole thing.
There was no smoking room as per my request .I even have the print out from home that says I am getting a smoking room. I beleive that they gave it to some junkie. Final note we had no Ac in room, and the Steakhouse we wanted to eat at was not open. It was crazy. And at our ages 53 and 56 we had never been to Atlantic city so this was quite the experience.

when i first came in they were confused about my name when i checked in, they had my name backwards and it took me to run back to the car and get my print out to show them i been booked the room. breakfast ended way too late and we didnt even know what the scedule was it was very unclear. we were also charged to stay in the room about 3 times when we already paid for it. i am very unhappy with the staff and the whole expierience period i will never stay here again.

The Red Roof was a horrible hotel. The room was freezing cold and that was with the heater set to 90 degrees for over 7 hours! The heater was loud, the fan obnoxious. The room was ugly and not very clean. I will never stay at a Red Roof anywhere ever again!

Atlantic City.com should be more careful when recommending similar hotels. I wanted the Clarion, booked it on the web, and then received a phone call saying it was shut out and the website did not update in time. "We'll put you at the Red Roof" they said because it is "similar" and in the same family of hotels. B.S. the room sucked!

RESERVE

We booked this hotel specifically because the listing on the Atlanticcity.com site shows it as one of the few hotels that offer two queen-sized beds. We need two queens in each room to accommodate handicapped individuals that travel with us with special needs.

When we arrived at the hotel check-in took very long due to the fact that, even though it was the middle of the day- on a very busy Saturday in peak season there was only a single desk clerk to handle both check-in and every phone call that came into the hotel. He kept having to answer the phone, interrupting our attempts to address the issue of our rooms. We really didn't have much choice in the matter as we had already prepaid our rooms, so we had to muddle on and accept the rooms- where else would we stay? An apology would have been nice.

We arrive in our rooms to find that in one room the remote control has no affect on the TV whatsoever. In the other, the cable is only partially working. Both rooms also have issues with electrical outlets- wiring hanging from the walls, outlets that don't work (the scorch marks are tell-tale signs of an issue!) and each room, although they house 4 adults, only have two towels! I tried to talk to a member of housekeeping who was working down the hall, but the language barrier prevented a conversation, so I filled out a work-order which was readily available in the room (should have been a sign...)and left it in the desk.

We went into Atlantic City for our show and casino time, returning some 8 or 9 hours later to find that the TV still couldn't converse with the remote.

I had a discussion with the manager the following morning before checking out, but was told that the reservation I had made which clearly stated 'queen-sized beds' was made through a third party and the hotel had no control over it. Needless to say, I pressed the issue, but am not sure anything will come of it.

I hope others don't have the same experience.

Worst hotel that I haved stayed at since I was a college student with no money. I thought we were being practical by not staying in the heart of A.C., but it back fired on us. The service was terrible. And, I feel like we should have been warned about the AA convention that was there. It was horrible that my young children were exposed to those circumstances. We couldn't even eat breakfast there (not that it looked appealing anyway!) because the line of 100 people wrapped around the lobby. And when we checked in, there was 1 person trying to check in hundreds of people with no rhyme or reason. We had several rude guests jump in front of us and the hotel staff did nothing to make it any better. Never again!
