I booked at Bally's, But when I arrived they gave us a room at the Claridge. It is attached and can be easy to get to. But, Our room was a No Smoking room and it smelled of smoke really bad. I asked the staff cleaning if this was a smoking room and they said no. maybe the manager should take a walk into the room. I called the front desk and was told their were no more rooms available. Also, the rugs were really dirty looking. I think the floor that I was on needs updating very fast. Also, the elevators broke down for a couple of hours and we had to take the service elevator. Only after waiting for about ten minutes for the elevators did someone finally come and lead us to the service elevators. Very disappointed.

We asked for a smoking room and were given a non smoking room. They changed room after a day and the smoking room was in need of refurbishing. The walls needed painting, the TV barely worked, the door latch kept getting stuck, and one of the outlets did not work. We ended up in the Claridge instead of Bally's. Overall disappointed in the room and the facilities. We were also a bit disappointed in the check in counter. We needed to talk to three separate agents before they finally changed our room to a smoking room.

I booked 2 rooms months in advance because we were planning to have a private bachelor party for my best friend. I paid probably double what i would have paid if i had booked it last minute, as there were $79 stays available all over the internet.

My complaint is that they advertise $10 tables all day everyday, but there aren't very many and they are always full.

They stuck us way back in the Claridge which was probably really nice in the 1920s, but kind of old now.

I was very disappointed as I thought Bally's was more up-scale. For the price, our room was no better than your average motel. We have stayed at other casinos and found the rooms to be much nicer and even better priced. I do admit the lobby is very spacious and quite attractive and the casino was pretty much average, but does have quite a few older slot games. The Wild Wild West casino was Very disappointing. It certainly was not what I expected. But as the saying goes, live and learn.

When we booked our room we were told it would have a king size bed or 2 doubles. When we arrived 3 hours after booking the room we were told that they had neither one left but they would give us a room with a view and a queen size bed. Nope,when we got to our room it was not a queen it was 1 double and my husband and myself being use to sleeping in a king size bed did not sleep well at all. The bed was way way to small for a restless sleeper like my husband. We had a nice view of the ocean though.

I made my reservations at Ballys through Atlantic City.com expecting to my hotel room to be in Ballys. When I got to the front desk I was told that if I booked through a third party I would be placed in the older part of the hotel the Claridge Tower. If that is the case I should have been told up front that the room was in the Claridge Tower and not Ballys itself. The room was older and worn and the elevators were slow and most of the service comes from Ballys.

I have stayed in this hotel before and I was very satisfied. This past weekend was not at all enjoyable. I first made reservations at Arturo's restaurant for a Friday night on Wednesday and on Thursday night I get a phone call from the restaurant saying that they had to cancel my reservation due to a private party. One of the main reasons for staying in this hotel was for this restaurant. The room next to use had sick coughing kids all night and I was unable to get any comfort or sleep. The bathroom was dirty and not kept nice. The paint was chipping off the wall it was just not clean.

I was completely dissatisfied with the hotel. I thought I booked Ballys and was sent to the Claridge wing which looks like it hasn't been updated or cleaned since it was built. When asked to change rooms because I reserved a king bed for my husband and I to enjoy on what was supposed to be a romantic weekend getaway and was stuck with two double beds there was conveniently nothing available and I was unable to get my money back since I booked online so I was stuck staying there. We were also stuck staying next to a couple who we nicknamed Ike and Tina because they fought loudly throughout the night and morning. I swear the walls were made of paper. I will never again book Ballys for fear I will end up in the Claridge wing again nor will I recommend to any friends to stay there.

Checking in at Bally's took an hour. There were 3 representatives working the check-in desk and 4 or 5 standing around watching.
Other than that, it was a great stay! The restaurants we patronized were very good, although a touch on the expensive side. The hotel employees we asked for help and directions were all very friendly and courteous. The casino was clean (but not generous!) And the doughnut shop was really good and very popular with the guests.

The Casino was absolutely awesome! I give the casino a 10! The room we stayed was very poor. Very over priced. No fridge or microwave, no balcony. Could not reserve a King Bed. Had to get two doubles. All in all, there's really not much more I could say. It was nice that the Casino was right on the boardwalk. I liked that it was close to all the other casinos. The rooms were the only bad part of this stay. We stayed at a days in for our third night and it was alot better room and half the price.

Have had better rooms at a motel six, had a room in the older section of Ballys. Really like the tower, casino's and the resturants although you can get a weekend with a flight to Vegas for less money at a newer hotel. Seems that the Claridge section was another hotel taken over by Ballys and was not updated. The fitness center was fairly decent, really liked the steam room, although the jacuzzi was out of order (looked like that was permanent and unsightly.) Will stay at Caesars next time and most likely in Vegas.

The hotel is good for what it cost. It is convenient as it is right next to Trump Plaza and even connected to Ceasars Palace. I spent most of my time at Ceasars because the employees at Ballys were very nasty. I ordered breakfast to the room and it was cold when it arrived 2 hours later. I recieved an attitude anytime I called for service whether it was to order food or to ask a question. Basically you get what you pay for. If you want to stay cheap and don't mind being talked down to then stay at Ballys.

This place doesn't make accommodations for the elderly that are handicapped. My Dad has cancer and is limited to walking great distances and was forced to stay at the hotel next to the Wild West (owned by Ballys). I checked with the desk clerks on arrival and we were given rooms that required a great distance of walking to get to his room. I indicated to the check-in clerks several times that it was extremely difficult for my Dad to do a lot of walking. Nothing was close to the Casino without walking great lengths. Most of the time he stayed in his room to avoid the lengthy walk. We travel to Atlantic City twice a year and this is my Dad's favorite place to play the slots so we thought it was best to book rooms in the Casino he liked the most. We loved Atlantic City just to visit for his enjoyment but we are now considering other places with accommodations for the elderly and handicapped. Someone should have made suggestions on what was available because on our final day there we notices several scooters that we could have rented or at least have gotten a wheelchair to make his visit a little better. We spoke to numerous people there about accommodations to avoid walking such lengths and most acted like we were crazy and stated it is just up the hallway, maybe for them but not for an elderly man with a bad hip and one lung!! It was a great disappointment for all of us trying to find ways to get food and fun into Dad's schedule without him having to walk great lengths.

Location, Location, Location! That was the best advantage to staying at Ballys. Also it has great casinos to choose from. The rooms were nice enough with great views of the ocean & boardwalk. Only problems were at check-in, we arrived after 2am and our reservations had been deleted therefore delaying us getting a room for 2 hours! Front desk staff were not eager to assist with it and offer any suggestion requiring hotel management to get involved. After lots of negotiations we were finally given a room that we had already paid for. It was worth the headache we loved the amenities, and the wonderful proximity to the boardwalk, outlet shopping, high end merchants, restaurants, action packed top notch casinos. I would definitely go back and very soon.

The hotel was not what I has expected.My room was not clean when I came.I had to wait almost one hour to check-in.Only one restaurant available after 8 pm that was not too expensive and we had to wait in line so be seated for 30 minutes.The pool was small for everyone to swim in at the hotel.What entertainment do you have at this hotel at night besides casinos? This hotel had the lowest price when I was looking for rooms and this is why I stayed here.
