The check in was lousy. The room wasn't ready & I had to come back 3 times. They make you check in at 4 pm but be out by 11 am. I've stayed at other Hotels in the area & have checked in by 11 am. Also, the gambling is so-so. The Martin Bar Lounge was fun, as was the connecting Wild West Casino. Location wise it's good, it the middle of the boardwalk, close to Caesars Mall Shop & some of the other casinos. The parking was lousy as well. The garage is not built for SUV's. You are forced to use Valet Parking.

The room was not clean. Dirty bedspread with stains and the jacuzzi was filthy. I had to buy tub cleaner to clean . All the knobs on the jacuzzi were broken.
Room was big and could have been a really nice place to stay . Construction was going on and as I came out of the shower there was a man on a scaffold looking at me. Disappointing that the Claridge Tower was not the Bally's we thought we booked. Valet and Bell folks were helpful.

I booked the room in advance for a better deal, only to get the oldest room in the entire hotel. The corner room had access to two other rooms. This wasn't comfortable. The room wasn't updated at all. The bathroom was extremely small and felt like you would fall through the tub.
On the casino floor there were a couple of dealers that didn't know the payout on extra bets placed on blackjack. They were new and should have had a little more training.
In the Claridge tower section of the casino, there was a pit boss that had no concept of being professional. She didn't take care of the people spending their money.
Have a great time if you go.

Booking over the internet I booked reservations where advertisement stated if I paid another $7.00 over another internet offer I would received a $10.00 breakfast coupon toward what was described as a full breakfast opportunity. After waiting in a long line to check in I discovered the $10.00 credit was only good at the donut and muffin stand and NOT at a breakfast venue. Parking area smelled of urine, rooms were dated and typical of an aged facility.

I would not stay at this hotel again. I wanted to vomit, once we got into our room. The bathroom was so outdated, and not clean. There was hair all over the floor in the bathroom. The room smelled. The carpet was stained. The bed was comfortable and we did have an ocean view. The remote hardly worked. My husband and I were really sorry that we picked this hotel. We love the casino but were stuck in the Claridge Tower. I should have listened to all the bad reviews about the Claridge Tower.

It was our first time in AC, and we chose Ballys because it was the cheapest hotel-casino on the boardwalk. If you're trying to save money on a hotel, don't go here. We paid close to $300 for one night and it was absolutely disgusting: throw-up on the sheets, overall messy room. A fair price for this room would be $50-$75. I've stayed at way nicer Holiday Inns. Pay a little extra to stay somewhere else, that's what we'll be doing next time.

By no means an awful place for vacation. I feel my problems may have been a fluke but since it is the only time I stayed at Bally's it is all that I have to go by. My complaints: 1. They include a nice coupon for one of their restaurants when you make a reservation. The coupon they sent me had an expiration date on it of 12/31/09. My reservation was in January 2010. I tried to get some help online but their online help section was not accessible. 2. Requested a single bed in my preferences, got double beds. Partially my fault as I got there kinda late (8 pm) but still a bit upsetting. 3. The first 3 people I asked on their staff for directions on how to get back to our room at the end of the night sent us to the wrong place. I was sent to an elevator that was closed, the "wrong elevators" for my floor, and then back to the closed elevators. Would not have been a problem at all as they weren't that far apart but I was on crutches at the time and by the end of the night I was exhausted.
I am sure that there are many worse places to stay, these were just my first impressions so I wanted to share. I have not read the other reviews but if no one else had any problems this may have just been an off night for some of the staff. Casino that is attached to the hotel is excellent. Hotel is centrally located with easy access to more things than you can do in one night.

The room was gross. Would not stay here again - not even if the room was free. I was buried down some corridor in a tiny room with a tiny bathroom. For sure would not recommend to anyone I know. The next time I go to AC - it will be in a different casino. From my understanding - this hotel is a knockdown job and will not be around much longer. I love AC, but the Claridge hotel will not see my business again.

The room is too small & crowded, the hallway too narrow, and you can hear what the people in the other room is doing, you can also smell the cleaning fluids every time the housekeeper (Not his/her fault) cleans up the next room due to the connecting (locked) door. Over-all, we just tried it out as a "new experience", pretty much OK, but not quite to our standards. The staff are very helpful and always ready with a smile, that's the plus, the service.

We didn't know that Claridge was part of Bally's. I can accept that Claridge is old, but it needs lots of TLC: upgrade air filtration; even though we were on a no smoking floor, I could pick out the rooms of smokers. Not to mention the drifting smoke in the Claridge casino. The hotel needs new windows; we were on the 11th floor but could still hear lots of traffic noise. We also heard a lot of the conversations from the hallway and room next door. The room was clean, but the hallway was dirty; it wasn't cleaned during our entire stay. There was a glass outside our door when we first got there, and was still there when we checked out, along with a few others that accumulated during the weekend. The bottom sheets on the beds did not stay tucked in, and bunched up underneath you. One of the beds didn't even have a mattress pad.
The employees were very friendly. If we do stay at Bally's again, I'll make sure we stay in one of the Bally towers and not the Claridge. Although we liked The Ridge. It was a little more personal than the other, larger casino.

We had a very nice stay. I would go back and I stay at Bally's. The bar was a bit expensive but my family had a nice time. We stayed the night before New Year's because the rooms were to expensive on New Year's Eve.
I really wanted to do some shopping but we did not have time. So I will take more time and try to enjoy all of the shops.
Next time we will try to go in the summer time.

I don't know if you will post this for other people or not. The people were ok, a bit pricey for things in the store. We had to wait in line for about 45 to eat, at 11:00pm.We had requested a king size bed and when we got there we had to settle for two doubles. The room when we first got there was dirty the carpet was wet and there was trash on the floor. The nightstand hadn't been cleaned there was something sticky on it. Thanks Mrs. Connell

I booked here for the spa area was really excited about the pool area with the hot tubs. The pool closed at 9 so there was no time for that. Got a Ocean view room but windows were so dirty could barely see the ocean not to mention the blue tape all over the windows. Other parts of the room were also not so clean. Definitely not worth the money I spent. Was called a deluxe room but there was nothing deluxe about it not even a fridge.

Bally's Claridge was very disappointing. We wanted to stay in the Bally's tower, but was informed at check in there weren't any rooms! Really? On a Monday night? They charge alot extra for internet service. They gave us a non-smoking room when I asked for a smoking room. The room was fine other than that. The location wasn't very good. It was a long walk to most of the other casinos. Would not recommend this hotel.

When we checked in our room was filthy. I did not want to even walk on the floors, there was red stains and burns in the carpet, and you could not see out the window it was so dirty and when I pulled the sheet back there was sandy dirt. Yuk!!! When I called the desk they said I should not have made the reservation with a third party. Will never stay there again. They put us in another room then.
