The room itself was wonderful (we had a kitchenette) and the view was amazing! The hotel itself was beautiful, but upon walking in, my finance was immediately approached by someone trying to sell him a time-share. The halls on all the floors are very very dark (wallpaper is almost an eggplant color) so it feels very claustrophobic. You're not walking in the hallways much, but it was very noticeable every time you stepped out of the room or elevator. The coffee maker didn't work at all, and even if it did, they provided a 12 cup coffee maker with a 2-cup packet of coffee! The TV initially didn't work & I called the front desk. I had to call back again 20 minutes later because no one had shown up at that point. The TV was fixed and all was fine. I would still recommend this hotel, though, because as I said before, the room itself was really wonderful. Everything was very very clean, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price we were able to book it at, the little problems we encountered weren't such a big deal. However, if I had paid more than $160 a night, I'd be very upset.

The check in was great. The elevator on the other hand was a little scary. On our way up to our floor it just stopped and wouldn't do anything. I had to push the number on our floor again and then it was fine. Made me not want to use that elevator again. The room was pretty nice. The view was awesome. There was a lot of room and the bathroom was just as big. The whirlpool tub was great. The only complaint I have about the room is that the telephone did not work. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk for a wake up call which we never received. Other than this everything was great. The price was good for what the hotel offered.

My initial reaction was a pleasant one until I got to the room. The first room was the worse! No heat, crappy mattress, just looked old and worn! I was truly worried that I had wasted a whole evening b/c I was not at all interested in staying in that hotel! They tried to fix the heating, but it still wasn't the quality that the pictures referenced and I was thoroughly dissatisfied! I was prepared to ride back to MD late that night! My only incentive to stay was the fact that I wouldn't have gotten my money back had I left! (and that wasn't that great of an incentive!)

Atlantic Palace, however, redeemed itself by moving me to an renovated room that was well worth the money! Everything in the refurbished rooms was great! From the curtains to the bathrooms, the lighting, the quality of the bed, the micro/fridge, the TV/DVD... everything about the room, I was pleased! The jetted tub was on the money! This room was reflective of an "all suite hotel." The newer rooms are great for the price and the hotel staff is friendly and accommodating! Even in the situation with the first room, the staff was pleasant and did their best to accommodate me and make this stay as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing evening away from home (just hope the room is an upgraded one!)

The room rate was great. The room was good also, the bed was comfortable too.
However what I didn't like about the hotel, was the fact that there where no place to dine. Another fact was no casinos on the grounds. My last dislike was the parking on high level floors and having to walk up and down the stairs. There should have been an elevator.
My last concern was the fact that after over sleeping the last nite, We asked for some extra time to get ourself together and wasn't giving the time. We had to rush out of there.

There were two things I really didn't appreciate...one the pool was closed and wasn't stated on the site when reservations were made...Alaskans love the pool...!
Number two was the door after a certain time was locked from the boardwalk side and had to walk around to the front...! Guests should be told that...especially if you are alone...!
One employee who was of great help was Jim...he had recommended a place for food at the late hours and was very hospitable...great customer service..! Was great to be on the boardwalk for shopping and people watching...! I would stay there again if the pool is up and open..!

The actual hotel is right on the boardwalk and looks pretty nice from the outside. The ocean view is nice as well. The rooms need to be updated. This hotel does not have its own restaurant but there is an Irish pub next door. The parking area does not connect to the hotel and does not have an elevator! It is beside the hotel though. I would not walk around the area(other than the boardwalk)late at night, afraid I might get mugged. The casino's are only a couple blocks away in either direction and are accessible by the boardwalk which is a plus.

When reading other reviews of this hotel, one of the main common concerns was the parking. On the contrary, I found the parking easy. As soon as I walked in, a gentleman helped me situate my vehicle and get me checked in. I asked the friendly desk staff for an ocean view, and I got one. No questions asked! The room was spacious but could use some renovations. The elevators were slow and at times there were long waits for the elevator. Other than that, everything was great.

It was a nice hotel with a great view of the ocean and boardwalk. Perfect for a weekend getaway and not too expensive for a Friday in the summer in A.C. - especially for a hotel right on the boardwalk! The room was roomy and comfortable. The service was good and everyone I encountered who worked there was friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of great casinos, shopping locations, and entertainment. I would come back to stay again and hope to soon.

Unfortunately I forgot to plan something for my anniversary. But when I found this hotel on Atlanticcity.com my worries were over. the staff was excellent with helping me at the last minute. My wife and I had a great time and would return for any ocassion, even with the kids. I've told family members about the good time I had and some of them are planning to stay in the future. Definately an affordable great place for a weekend getaway or even a longer stay at the shore.

My wife and I had a great time at this hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly, service was great. The room was very clean, but the window allowing to look into the bathroom was weird. Unfortunately the hotel didn't have a restaurant, so we had to find a place to eat, which wasn't too bad because the hotel is located right on the boardwalk. The swimming pool was nice, but a little too small. Overall we had a great time and would stay there again!

I called service about ac and they said it was working fine and i had to go buy a fan because the room was to hot,Also i Stayed on the 30 floor the view was great but at times the elevator was slow and the ice maker was on the 24 floor so you would always have to go down there to get ice. My room was a non-smoking but in the hall way going to the room i could always smell the smoke.

a little weird to go in and park first then go park then check in on to be sent to the 2nd floor to check in also lock on board walk wouldn't let us in by using our cards had to go to front of hotel then our card still would not work so another guest had to let us in the room was very nice with a wonderful view should have express check out through the t v not by calling on pone then be transferred to another desk clerk she was very nice just took a little longer to chesk out

great hotel didn't get what i ordered I wanted a qween size bed I got 2 full and there was no internet in the hotel. Other than that it is a wonderful place to stay. Great view of the beach easy access to the boardwalk. The casinos were all at walking distance so there was no reason to drive. parking was in a great spot no long walk from the garage to the hotel.last but not least the staff was great and very hospitable. i would encourage anyone who want a quick getaway to go there i will be back.

This is a nice hotel located on the boardwalk. It is very reasonably priced and the rooms are large. The rooms are suite style and have a queen bed, pullout sofa and a large bathroom. I cannot complain about this place. One thing that is odd there is that there is a large window in the shower that allows people in the room to have a view of you in the shower. BUT there are blinds that prevent people from seeing you. Just found this to be very odd. The hotel is located near the Resorts casino and is basically in the middle of the boardwalk.

A nice size suite with an incredible ocean and boardwalk view. Jog on the boardwalk down to the Tahj for some action. Need a cab to get anywhere elso though. No open restaurant at the hotel so need to travel to eat. Quet and private. Did not use spa, but it has one. The staff was friendly but more or less you are on your own. Asked for non-smoking but room reeked of tobacco. Window seat with view and sun was a special delight. Nice mini kitchen--bring food, etc. Good getaway spot. Jacuzi was great too. Enjoy, I did.
