I stayed at the Ascot for one night with three other girlfriends for my 21st birthday. We had a great time. The room was clean and comfortable and the service was great. The rate was very cheap for us. No complaints. It was your usual double bed hotel room. With a one block walk to the beach and boardwalk it was a great location. We lounged by the pool for a little bit and loved it. It's about a one block walking distance to The Quarter. Which is where we had dinner and visited a few bars in there. Overall it was a great stay and definitely would stay there again.

Great location, right near the Tropicana. Water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, but bearable. Electrical Outlets were flawed and the smoke detectors did not have batteries in them. The front desk staff was very helpful and understanding to my needs. The T.V. was fine, the A/C worked very well and the pool was very nice. The parking was great, the location was right near the boardwalk for easy access, was a very good stay nonetheless.

This hotel is a dump!!!! The rooms are old,they have no light, and all the electricity is above your head encased in what looks like a baseboard heater cover. Water from a room above leaked into our room at 1 a.m. The bathroom is very old and the lighting is awful. We had to buy a blow dryer, which in most hotels is always a part of the bathroom. The towels were horrible. They were thin and scratchy like sandpaper. We had to ask the front desk everyday for towels because housekeeping only left us 2 per day. On the beach you are going to take more than one shower per day! The staff always gave you more--but you shouldn't have to ask everyday. One day our room was still not cleaned at 2:30 p.m. When the front desk was informed they sent housekeeping right away to clean. The front desk staff was helpful and polite and corrected whatever issue you had immediately. The hotel is just old and in need of major renovations and revamping. The rooms need more light and the standard amenities of most other hotels (eg: blow dryer, iron, ironing board). I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

There were a lot of hookers walking all over the hotel and what seemed to be drug deals also going on.It did not feel like a safe place to have a family or anyone at that matter.The rooms looked like they were in the 60's and the tv didn't even work.The savings of fifty dollars a room was not worth it.The bathrooms were barely big enough to fit a shower let alone have room for anything else.

This hotel is in a great location right next to the Tropicana. It was a little loud and there was an unexpected visitor, a roach. Overall the room was not unclean though. The pool did not look unclean, but I could not imagine myself swimming in it given the overall appearance of the hotel. The biggest drawback to the hotel is that the pillows are like wadded up cotton and the towels are like sandpaper. I recommended bringing your own. It is a great price for the location as long as you are willing to overlook the appearance.

It all started when I checked in they said I never made reservations an I had to pay them $458. I then pulled out my confirmation sheet that I printed out. It took them about 10 minutes to accommodate me. They said my room wasn't available yet, for me to come back later I then replied you have a lot of vacancy rooms available. Then they gave me a room. They were renovating, so there was alot of noise going on during the day. The next day I went out shopping and my friends came down to help celebrate my birthday with me. One of my friends stayed in room 199 and I was room 212. My friend wanted a beer from my room so he went to the desk clerk and lied and said my sister is in room 212 and I need to get something from there. The desk clerk gave him a key to my room with out him verifying my name or anything else. When I returned back I then confronted the desk clerk and he said was that a problem. I then replied yes that it is a problem, you don't know if we were together and you didn't verify anything. So the next day I left and stood at the Tropicana.

I wanted to stay at hotel on the Boardwalk, but there was nothing available for the price I was willing to spend for the weekend. A friend recommended the Ascot. I was a little apprehensive, because I would not dream of staying in a motel alone. The lobby needs some improvement, but I was very satisfied with my room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great. Easy access to the boardwalk. I would definitely stay there again alone or with significant other.

I stayed at this hotel because of price and location. When I go to A.C. without my wife I rarely am in my room other than to sleep a few hours and shower. If you want to stay close to the casinos and not spend four hundred dollars for a room I would recommend this hotel. I over sleep past the check out time and was not pushed to get out of the room I took my time and was not charged.

I would not recommend this property not even to my worse enemy. Towels were dingy and they did not leave enough. for the amount of money they wanted and If my husband did not try to surprise me with a getaway and I saw this hotel I would have demanded to get my money back. I felt bad for my husband who tried his best to do something nice for us to getaway. I will returned to Atlantic City but I will not stay there. The only thing good was the location to the Boardwalk

The first night we weren't that particularly impressed but after the maids cleaned up we were. What we liked the best was the pool and the fact we were minutes away from the boardwalk and all of the shops, casinos, etc. Next time we decide to plan a trip at Atlantic City there's a chance we might decide to pick the same place again. The price was very reasonable. We truly enjoyed our stay and we truly deserved it.

The hotel was nice, cheap and clean. The crowd there was kind of loud. There is outside pool and the beach two min walk. It is located right next to Tropicana which is convenient if you want to gamble or go to bars there. There was no blow drier or iron in the room so you might want to grab your own stuff. Otherwise if you want to save some money and still be right next to boardwalk this is a good place for u.

Price was OK for a Friday night in AC. Motel was clean. No room climate control-weak AC. Not enough towels, shower was weak, like a mist, instead if a steady flow. Lamp between beds was out due to no plug on that side of room; overloaded plugs on other side of room. When moved closer to an outlet on other side of room, bulb was burnt out. Mini frdge did not work.
Too much noise & commotion-traffic(located on a busy intersection)Other guests were loud at times & very little english was spoken.

I stayed in a two double bed room with 3 other guests. The stay was ok, but not great. The room was outdated, and the window would not close. The carpets were dirty but the beds were fairly comfortable. On the upside, staff was friendly and the hotel was conviently located near casinos and the boardwalk. I would only recommend staying here if you are looking for a last minute place to sleep after a long day/night at a casino.

This hotel is great if you like the trop, it is a 2 second walk. The pool was really nice and clean. The rooms were okay but who really cares when you are drunk anyway? Friendly staff and helpful. Definetly recommend to anyone going to AC for a good time and not concerned about what the rooms look like. It is unbelievable how awesome the location is to the tropicana and the beach. This hotel is in the perfect spot and I surprised more people don't go here. The only thing that was upsetting was that the price of the hotel is usually low but it was significantly high for memorial day weekend, but hey what can you expect... all hotels do it.

over all i think that it really wasn't bad although it didn't have a bible that was really freaky but it was very good for us because of the location and the three beds we had in the room all in all if your drunk and need a place to crash and need cheap deals or even cuz you lost your money gambling it is the best place to stay lol the front desk people were really helpful and curtious to me a nd my friends gosh this
