Great service and friendly staff. If your looking for a cheap place to stay with a pool for kids then this is it. Next to the Ritz and across the street from the Tropicana it is less than a block walk from the beach and boardwalk with NO BUSY STREET CROSSING and FREE parking. The pool was kept exceptionally clean and the rooms were clean as well. I only wish I had known about all the seaweed at the beach. I only put that in there because I did not know and feel other people might like to know. This is good place for families. So if your looking for something fancy with a lot of amenities and bell hops then book something else.

The only nice things I can say about this hotel is that it was cheap and the location was good - right next to Tropicana Hotel and one minute from the beach. Oh and the pool looked nice - but we didn't use it.
But the bad things made this my worst hotel experience I've ever had.
The staff were not very welcoming and not very helpful either. With no hairdryer in the room, I asked for one at the desk - the only one they had was being used and I was told to come back in half an hour. I did, but still no hairdryer, and no kind of apology.
I'm a tea drinker and was delighted to see tea bags at breakfast - but no water to make the tea with (I was told to put the tea bag in to the coffee!!)
Room was just okay - no hairdryer; microwave and two lights did not work, no answer when I tried to call down to the desk. Only two small towels to use and no bath mat.
Breakfast was awful - and served in the tiny reception area on a counter top (no tables/chairs.) On offer were Bagels, muffins or honey buns and coffee. Oh and tea bags!
If you just need a bed for the night - it's fine! Otherwise, steer clear!

This hotel is only good for it's location, right across from the Tropicana. Once we entered our room it had an overwhelming smell of curry. That wasn't very pleasant. Their bathroom was extremely tiny, the medicine cabinet would not close shut. Also the shower which was tiny, had a steady leaky faucet. And when we went to take a shower the floor easily got wet and slipper. The beds were decent and the mini fridge and t.v. worked fine.

The Ascot Beach Block Motel was great! It is located right next to the Tropicana, Boardwalk, and the Jitney bus stop! The room was perfectly clean and smoke free. The people at the front desk were really nice and very helpful.

The only downside staying here were the neighbors we had. They had music playing all night, were disruptive outside from 2-6 am... Called the desk and they 'took care of it,' until 9 am, they were back outside yelling and shouting as they were the night before.

Would love to stay again, you could not beet the price, especially for memorial day weekend. Will have ask to stay away from any parties next time.

The room was very old, not worth $113.00 plus tax. The website shows a different picture of the Ascot. When flushing the toilet, you could hear water running as though the room was going to flood. The bathroom was out dated and I was scared to sleep in the bed. I did not arrive until 2:30am, which they did allow me to check out at 1:pm but I needed more time to rest my nerves. All the money the Ascot has made, management should fix the rooms up.

Family owned business that was friendly and tended to the needs of their guests. Inexpensive room that was comfortable and enjoyable for the short-term stay. Rooms had central heating and a refrigerator and microwave for food if needed. Bathroom was sort of small but was reasonable. Central location to everything including the Tropicana and the Hilton casinos. Not a far walk to the outlets either. All in all, was an enjoyable stay and I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is on a budget.

The hotel seemed clean. Although after inspection, I found one cockroach. The location was great, it is right across the street from the Tropicana Casino. This was convenient because I paid at least $100 less to stay in the same area of Atlantic City. The jitney stops right in front of the motel so if someone wanted to go to Caesar's or Trump or 40/40 you can hop on for a small fee. My trip went well, for the cost of the motel, I guess I got what I paid for. Another downside, was that the motel only allows one car per room, and we had two cars for my room, so the other car parked at Tropicana for a small fee.

The hotel was great and in a great locations. The service was good, however the room could've been cleaned better then it was. I was there for my birthday with friends and family just to hang out for the weekend so the stay was convenient for that. However, if I was to bring a business associate or girlfriend, then this hotel wouldn't be appropriate because of the cleanliness. But I was there to celebrate with friends and family, so I was good and a good location.

Towels a little rough. That's the only bad thing I can say about the Ascot. Very close to the Tropicana, and it made me feel like I was in the midst of everything not at the edge of town in some no name hotel. I was comfortable with my surroundings and had a pretty good time. I may even go back,soon. The free parking was great too. My boyfriend actually took advantage of the Continental breakfast, bagels, muffins and coffee.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying in Atlantic City. Being without transportation, the jitney really came in handy. The motel where we were staying provided us convenient transportation. We were close to the boardwalk, restaurants, and fine dining. We would really recommend staying there, we will be returning with our children so they can enjoy the same experience that we did. Preferably in the summertime when the pool will be open and not as much rain. Enjoy your stay as we did!!!

The bed was fine. The motel needs to be updated. You could hear conversations on the street, sirens all night, because of the clubs/restaurants across the street, you can hear a lot of cursing when people leave them.

The motel is not really bad, It was a place that I needed for a one night stay. You sit down in the chairs, and you almost go straight to the floor, the microwave was not working, it did have a refrigerator, the tub did not look clean, it had water stains on the ceiling,the bathroom did not have any counter for your personal things.

It was surprisingly nice and clean for such a low price. The location was great! It was right across the street from the Tropicana and right down the street from the beach. The help at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. This place is great for people looking for a place to stay at that is close enough to everything Atlantic City has to offer without having to drive. I would stay here again the next time I come down to Atlantic City.

I would stay here again if funds were low. It is a nice cozy place but I expected more since it's right across from the Tropicana. Location it's great, room size descent and price is good. I would recommend staying here if u just passing by & don't want to break the bank for a one night or two stay. Front desk was nice but they need to turn off ac in elevator when it's freezing outside. The continental breakfast was muffins and some type of baked goods that were all hard cold cold coffee & hot OJ.

The location of the Ascot is excellent! My boyfriend and I came for new year's eve.The rooms were cute and clean.All the rooms are part of a balcony that overlook the pool and casino. The rate was a bit high, but it was new year's so that was expected. We enjoyed the Tropicana casino, the boardwalk and beach, and many local restaurants near by. You can practically smell the ocean from the room.Parking was very convenient too. We cant wait for our next trip!

The motel is conveniently located directly across from the Tropicana. There is not much to do in The Ascot, but if you just need a place to sleep, it's perfect. The service was friendly and parking was free! There is not much of a selection at the breakfast, but hey, it's free. My friends and I got a room on a Friday night for $99 and had a great time. I would recommend the Ascot to young people looking to have a good time, not planning on spending a lot of time in the motel.
