My stay at this motel was not what I expected it to be at all. It's a complete hole in the wall. This particular motel seems like its more for a drug exchange or criminal activity. When I took the elevator Up to the room there was alot of cigarettes in the mini walkway as soon as you step foot out of the tiny elevator I was completely turned off the second I walked in the motel. By the way the complimentary breakfast was a old toaster left by the front door. I thought that was a joke.

This motel was very seedy, I am disabled and use a wheelchair, the bathroom did not meet my needs at all. I could not get my wheelchair in the bathroom, they did not have a shower chair or even a folding chair that I could use to take a shower. I had to bring my own, and it was still extremely difficult for me to get in and especially out of the tub. I almost fell quite a few times, the toilet ran all nite, the fridge was nasty, the dresser drawer was broken, our front window was bricked in.The elevator is very small, my wheelchair barely fit. It was a horrible experience

My boyfriend and I decided last minute that we wanted to take a mini vacation to the shore. Since we are both college students, we obviously do not have a lot of money. I found the Ascot on the Atlantic City website and was shocked at how low the price was considering it's convenient location. My boyfriend and I were not planning to gamble, we were looking for someplace that had a pool and a place that was located near the beach and boardwalk. This was the ideal place for us! The pool is a great size and was very clean. The rooms were also a nice size. They were clean and included a mini fridge and microwave which was
convenient. The staff was very professional and
helpful. We definitely plan to stay here again!

50 USD per night on the boardwalk!!! The great price if you are not staying in the room all the time, but using it just to sleep. The staff is friendly. Do not rely on the internet.
If you decided to save bucks then do not complain!
The pool is very clean and very nice to relax in. All casinos are right here, All the shopping and entertainment, we never used our van, everything was right here.

I stay in this hotel twice a year, it has a fantastic location next to the Tropicana. There is a Jitney stop right in front of it so you can ride up and down the streets to go to any of the other casinos or shopping areas. There is a nice outdoor pool with a lounge area. And the best thing is the beds feels like soft fluffy pillows. So I highly recommend that you and your friends check out this hotel.

Location is the best asset for this hotel. It is right near the beach/boardwalk. It was clean, bed was comfortable and staff hospitable. Each room has a refrigerator and microwave but no hair dryer! If you are looking for luxury it is not the place for you, it is very basic and affordable. We stayed during off season and it was quiet and convenient. Free parking on site and you can walk or take a carriage ride to any place downtown Atlantic City.

The Ascot is clean, but we had some problems. First room we had the tv didn't work and neither did the telephone. We got switched into a different room and that was ok, except there was NO hot water....the sink ran and ran (we tested it thoroughly). The lighting was strange in that there was no overhead lighting. Each side of the bed had a light on but it was so far from the bed and was so weak I don't think we could read if we had so desired. Continental breakfast the next am was fine;only real problem was no hot water for showers etc.

There's WiFi, but the Signal is not enough in the room.
It's Okay to stay, Hotel looks old, could need some renovation, but was clean. Most likely okay if you don't stay all the time in the Hotel. It includes a "Deluxe Continental Breakfast" as it says, I wouldn't call some muffins, bagels and coffee a "Deluxe Continental Breakfast", but it's better than nothing. The location is nice, just right to the Tropicana and near to the boardwalk.

The place was from 1920 and was never remodeled. Carpets were dark, to hide who knows what! Wanted to get to sleep as quick as possible for the morning to come to check out. The breakfast was burnt coffee, bagels in a bag (probably from convenient store) and OJ. For the money it was less then 'ok' at best. For a few more bucks, get a room that doesn't have a door where the cold can get in from as well as horns honking ALL night.

The hotel was a very good deal for the money.It was convenient to the boardwalk and the Tropicana.Parking was a little tight,you could get blocked in easy.If you were blocking someone you would have to leave your car keys with the front desk so it could be moved.All in all location and everything considered it was a very pleasant stay. The boardwalk was a block away,easy to get to along with the beach.We had one small problem with the room,the mgmt took care of that and moved us to another.

Room was clean,no musty odor. The only complaint I have is the bed could use a new mattress. Rates are low. This is not a top of the line hotel but if you are only in the room to sleep it is fine. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The beach, boardwalk and casino are very close. The pool was very clean and clear although we did not use it, we did see it being cleaned early in the morning.

There were dirty socks on the floor when we checked in. the bed closest to the bathroom had a sunk in mattress. It had so many lumps, I slept across the bed not in the bed. I felt awful for my friend who traveled with me. We were there for 2 comedy shows, Friday/ Saturday and it embarrassing. I didn't even want to take her half of the money because we did not get what we paid for. Paint chipping, plaster cracked, Poor up keep. I am so embarrassed.

Everything was nice and clean. Friendly service pleaty of parking and one block or less from the beach and casino. The pool was great, big pool and very clean the area around the pool was clean also. The rooms had a microwave and a refridgerator which was very nice. Nice clean sheets and bed linen. Nice fresh towels and wash clothes. The air was great, people at the desk were friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel and I will stay there again.

For the price we paid, it was very acceptable. The hotel is old but clean. The beds were comfortable. By cons, there is no room in the bathroom for leaving even our toothbrushes, lack of table. The rooms are done but sometimes too late in the day. The hotel is located just steps from the boardwalk, the Tropicana Casino and the beach. We also used the pool, it is clean and washed daily.

I title this weary because there were a few things wrong with this hotel/motel first was parking it was not large enough for my size car if I didn't get a spot on the end of the lot I had to park at the front of the hotel/motel and leave my key at the front desk. Second the stairways smelled like urine and to boot this is where the ice machines were located so needless to say we never used the ice machine although we wanted ice. Third there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling we mentioned this to two employees they said they will check it, if they did nothing was done during my stay. Forth the continental breakfast area is located where you check in, it was to small of an area and not well kept. I stated that I would not recommend this hotel/motel because of these things,I also said I might would stay again only if this is all I could afford on my next visit to Atlantic City. Signed Weary!!!
