It’s happening at Atlantic City Hotels and Casinos

I think it’s fantastic that the Boardwalk facades are being made over. There is $100 million allocated to making over all (eventually) the store fronts on the Boardwalk. Anyone who’s walked the Boards knows that it’s glitzy casino, glitzy casino, run down looking souvenir shop. Although these stores have great merchandise the outsides were neglected for so long.

Not anymore! I think the Boardwalk is going to look gorgeous when all is complete. The scaffolding is scheduled to come down this month on the 1500 block (between Bally’s and Resorts-ish) and the 2500 block which is between Trump Plaza and Tropicana. Once that phase is done they’ll move on to the 3000 block which is right near Tropicana.

It’ll be nice to walk down the Boardwalk and not try to hurry onto the next casino but to stop and visit the shops, pick up some salt water taffy and enjoy the scenery.

$5 tables are similar to airline rates. As the number of patrons increase in the casino, so does the table minimum. $5 games are easily found during the day except maybe Saturdays. Night time has more action, therefore harder to find.The less popular locations would have those tables open longer, Resorts Hilton, and Tropicana because of size. Harrah’s is Ok as well because they are more price sensitive and go after seniors & middle income.
